I hope Paul Millsap submitted his game comments in writing, because anyone who
makes his living by writing - even a sports journalist and especially an editor
- should know the difference between "stagnate" and "stagnant."
The sooner we get this mess straightened out the better. Corbin can't
coach. If he had any clue at all he would have put Kanter back in there for Al
about 3 minutes into the 3rd quarter. Corbin ball is alot like Lowe ball. This
is not Jazz basketball. Something needs to be done before the fan base is lost.
Corbin needs to go. The Jazz will have to eat his extensions but that's
better than the direction this thing is headed. It's time for Dennis and
Kevin to go to work, before all is lost.
Sounds to me like Corbin was making excuses for his team before the game even
started. Yeah the tragedies of this world have affected all of us but when you
step on that court you're paid to play and to help all of us forget about
the tragedy for a couple of hours, if you can't do that you need to move on
to another career. I am really starting to see that Corbin is the real
problem on this team. There is no way that Carrol, Kanter, and Favors should be
getting the minimal playing time that they are. Al needs to be taken out of the
game when he's a no show, same with Millsap, and for the life of me I
can't understand how Marvin Williams is playing at all. Corbin seems more
focused on keeping his starters happy than actually winning games and it's
obvious that he puts no emphasis on playing defense.
I have never seen such a bunch of soft overpaid pros. Corbin you, Tinsley, and
Watson should all hang it up. Where has all the spirit and enthusiasm gone. This
group should not accept their paychecks. Foye has been in a slump and Millsap up
and down. I thought Mo would have done better at this point. Hayward drives into
the middle and charges or gets striped everytime. Even the fans are not showing
up like they use to. Time to shake up this group with a trade. I don't see
one win on this next road trip and that is really sad.
I was struck by how weak Jefferson plays against big opponents (the Grizzlies).
He avoids contact- prefers to take jump shots over drives to bucket, refuses to
set screens, and never finds the effort to stop penetration in the paint. The
first unit played ok in the first half, but lost the game during their stint in
the second half (THEY REALLY NEED A SPARK PLUG). The Grizz deserved this win-
they played defense with energy, the Jazz did not, just like their last game
against the Suns.
Hey Corbin, tick tock, tick tock...times running out on you buddy. ;)SLOAN!!!!!!!
