    Anyone remember that old McLuhan saying, "The medium is the message"?

    There was a time when religion was so sacred to people that they had rules about how it could be spoken and shared with others. You couldn't make certain images or say certain words because those things lowered the sacred to the world of the mundane and trivial.

    The problem with Billboard and T-shirt religion is that it is just another thing to be advertised. It may attract plenty of attention to be sure, but it creates consumers rather than converts. With our billboards, we have suggested to the subconscious that Mormonism is a thing on the level of Marlboro cigarettes and online dating websites.
