Well, there's the answer: Let's thank (blame) a political party.

Let's look back at the last 30 years and county which party has been in the White House the most, and then we will thank the party with the most years in the White House for this problem.

We are transforming into a nation of beggars, and wimps.

Thank you liberals for your kindness.

Our experience living in the state of Utah has been that it is quite difficult to qualify for disability. We've had two children with medical issues. One finally received disability after two attempts when she was diagnosed with stage four cancer. I finally talked to someone at the disability office who explained to me how to fill out the paperwork. Our other child has a learning disability that has now been effectively treated. Until we had a diagnosed label for him, he didn't qualify. He doesn't need disability now. I also know of other people who have needed legal help to qualify. Maybe it is easier in other states, but in Utah it is difficult to qualify.

"The trouble with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money to spend."

Social Security (the basic program, not the disability program) is nothing but a Ponzi scheme and it is proven to be unsustainable. That alone is a gigantic problem.

SS Disability is a hugely abused program which has turned into a feather bed for welfare cheats, with phoney ailments, shady lawyers, and complicit bureaucrats who will sign up anyone who can concoct some vague problem or condition. It's not their money, so they don't care.

The notion of welfare being a generous offering to help the most vulnerable among us has been lost, or distorted so that it is now an entitlement to anyone who wants it.

Even total confiscation of every dollar earned by working Americans will not be enough to fund all the "free stuff" that has been promised by the liberal Democrats.

If not reformed very quickly, Disability payments and all the other welfare entitlements will totally bankrupt our country, perhaps even as soon as the end of Obama's second term.

All of this is the result of liberals' class warfare and culture of dependency.

A bigger question: Who gets to decide who qualifies and who doesn't? Obviously it's not being handled extremely well right now because no one seems to think the right people are getting the benefits.

One question, when did obesity become a handicap and a disability? There are millions on disability because they are super fat and have the health related problems that come with obesity. Instead of giving these people a wheelchair and money to stay home and get even bigger, should we not just get them out and make sure they exercise?
There are those who are, by no fault of their own are handicapped. There is man in Sevier County that has no legs. According to this article he will also loose his disability money.

I'm sure no one would suggest that this trouble could possibly be a result of the 'gifts' made by Democrats in order to receive votes. And the upcoming solution to this problem will be yet another tax increase and another department of government to oversee the program with increased scrutiny. How do you spell 'fiscal cliff'?

Just about every episode of Judge Judy shows perfectly able-bodied American on disability for stress, a sore leg, anxiety, ADD, and other minor ailments. Hmm. Just saying.
