    As bad as this damage was, it was minor in comparison
    to what would happen if two EMP bombs were to explode,
    over the United States, one over the eastern half and one
    over the western half. This would destroy the entire electrical
    grid. According to a Pentagon study, over 100 million
    Americans would be dead of starvation 3 months after
    this happened. A massive solar flair could do similar
    damage but on an even wider basis.

    Point is, people should be prepared for such situations. Its
    called 'Emergency Preparedness'. Look it up online.
