As a declared foe of private charities, I am struck be the lack of media attention about the problems faced by people in the face of Sandy. Of course it might be that I just don’t watch the right TV. But then that’s another story.

I usually watch Fox News with my lunch. I saw lots of pictures of devastation but not many people. Then an interview of an angry woman saying that no one was helping them, but they were expecting a National Guard truck later that day. The only private charity spoke of was the Red Cross telling us what they were doing, however with out any pictures. Later a Red Cross spokesman announced that people should come the Red Cross center and apply for assistance.

And while this is going, the strip along the bottom of the screen was that people we complaining about the government.

So, in the words of that famous lady with the hamburger, Where’s the Meat? Or in this case the private charities that are so much better than government.
