The only benefit I see for Jerry Sloan coaching the Lakers, is that he would have a fair chance to finally get his ring. There was no way he would have ever got it in a small market. But with the Lakers, he should have a good chance to win the NBA title, and get the coach of the year award. Go for it Jerry, if that is what you desire.

Don't do it Jerry! You're 70 yrs old. Enjoy life. You don't need the craziness that LA would throw at you.

Yep. The Lakers were not smart enough to learn or implement the Princeton system, what with its dedicated choices for passes and movement, and all. They are a team of selfish whiners who want all the glory but don't want anyone coming along with them. Buss should have fired the players for not being savvy enough to learn the system, not the coach because the players wouldn't do what they were told and taught.

Jerry Sloan would be a great coach for the Lakers- he would put their whining troubles to bed, fast. But, I do not think he will do it, even if offered the coaching job. Jerry has too much integrity and work ethic to be associated with this bunch of thugs and such.

Please. No. Jerry, don't do it. I can handle you coaching anywhere, except L.A. Malone in a Lakers jersey was bad enough.
