LOL, his comments say it all, there no rational reason not to have given James Lark a chance, none!

Who cares if Bronco is listening ... we want those who can fire and hire to listen! Bronco too would listen and care if competition were part of the picture. Since BYU can only have LDS head coach, he has very little to worry about. If head coach position were open to anyone & everyone, he would have been gone already. As it is, no need for concern. Since HC must be LDS, I say make HC a church calling and bring in Steve Young or Andy Reid to clean up this embarrassing mess!

"nor your OC who is in his 3rd year,"

Is there a reason why you feel a need to continually perpetuate this lie? I'm as irritated by this season, Bronco, and Doman, as anyone but this is Doman's 2nd year. I've corrected you on this one before but you keep lying about it. You'll have more credibility if you quit, unless you're really just a utah "fan" and a poser.

Why would you listen to others when you are smarter than everyone else?

"I don't hear many negative things. Most are complimentary toward how we're playing." Sorry, Coach. I like my Cougs but you gotta be kidding me. Allow this comment not to be complimentary at all about the offense thus far this season, nor your OC who is in his 3rd year, and all I read is the continuing "learning curve."

These comments from Coach Bronco aptly fit his "insulted" look he gave a Ute fan when he was walking off the field after the Ute game. Sorry, Coach, but for this fan, your schtick has run a little old. A coach who is "pleased" with his 4-4 team doesn't seem the like the right coach to get the team to the next level.

Nero said the same thing - worked really well for Rome.

Time for a change! Or several of them.

Bronco doesn't listen to criticism...hmm. why would he? He doesn't publicly admit to any mistakes so how could he possibly be wrong about anything? Let's see...go for two against Boise with no time outs, no offense all day, BYU's defense playing great, and a horrible Boise kicking game -no mistake made there. How about repeatedly burning through timeouts early in the game only to have none in key end-of-game situations? Everything is just fine. A 20 yard punt against Notre Dame with just a few minutes on the clock, no timeouts (again), and Notre Dame running at will against BYU? Nope. Everything is just peachy. Staying with Riley through thick and thin? All systems go.

Perhaps the most annoying thing of all however is the incessant "coach speak" delivered in a monotone voice that could put caffeine to sleep. Zzzzzzzzzzzzz.......

Bronco is living in quite the bubble then. It is so frustrating to see them act so calmly and smugly after poor coaching and irrational dedication to substandard QB expectations is what's made this team 4-4 instead of 8-0. Its an affront to the defense to allow such poor preparation on the coaching staff's part ruin what truly could have been a magical year. What does Andy Reid want to come rescue this program and take it to its deserved next level?

"I don't hear many negative things. Most are complimentary toward how we're playing," --Bronco Mendenhall

So what Bronco is saying here is that he never watches, reads, or listens to any of the local sports media. Really?

Or is it he just really doesn't care what the media or the fans think?
