    Yup! I agree with all these suggestions. I'll be married for 25 years this year and our marriage is almost perfect too. Many years ago we decided that we would sit next to each other at church and put the kids on either side of us. We were a couple first and parents second. We hold hands every chance we get. I'll watch Rocky movies and go to Jazz concerts with him and he'll watch Pride and Prejudice and walk through art galleries with me.

    When I see an older couple that seem to be in the habit of bickering with each other and treating each other with distain I am sad. It is such a waste to go from lovers to enemies. I'm grateful my hubby feels the same. We both have learned to swallow our pride and put our marriage first, like this article states - with wonderful results! We still have our rough edges but I can't imagine life without him.
