    I remember your article from several months ago. I managed to get even heavier than you were (although I spent more than 11 months getting there) and have dropped sixty-two pounds since April. My doctor couldn't believe it. My cholesterol is the best he's ever seen it and I won't be needing high-blood pressure medication anymore.

    It appears that the exercise provides benefits in and of itself but the weight loss is certainly welcome. I run over twenty miles a week now. I may only lose two to three pounds a week instead of five when I first started, but I'm in a regular routine at the gym and time is on my side. I enjoy the exercise for exercise's sake.

    I'm glad to hear you're coming out of the terrible funk you were in. Being healthy does tend to change more than your waistline.
