"give credit where it is due."

Do as I say, not as I do.
    Typical troll hypocrisy

I don't see it. utah did have some players missing but white would not have fared much better than the other rb's did. BYU's run defense is excellent, utah's oline is bad, give credit where it is due.

I think the euphoria of the win might be affecting your judgement of utah's future this season. If nothing else utah proved themselves to be pretty poor offensively, really poor actually. They are going to have a hard time winning games against teams that can score because defensively, while utah is good, they are not great and other teams will score. Im not so sure utah can score. Remember last night they got one td on a botached snap recovery return and another on a very short field because of a big punt return. The only good drive utah sustained last night actually ended in no points. I think it went around 12-13 plays but fizzled out on the BYU end of the field.

Offensively they are in trouble, I don't see any improvement over last years offense, which was inarguably terrible. Frankly they are worse with the bad offensive line. Temper your expectations.

It worked out that White wasn't needed for the win.

But I'll admit when the Utes had 3rd and 2 in BYU territory with the Y having only one timeout and there being less than one and a half minutes left, I thought, "if they had White in, this game is over." In fact, the second half last night would have resembled more the second half of last year than two years ago, with White in the game. As it turns out on that play above, the Utes lost 7 yards, giving one more chance (or three, I suppose) for BYU to come back.

Now, he'll be 100% for ASU. The Utes will also have Blechen and Rowe back. ASU's Kelly is a lot like Nelson and I see the Utes forcing him into several mistakes. PLus the Utes are no strangers to Todd Graham's schemes.

I see the Utes improving their rushing game next week, Jon Hayes doing another nice job with management and the defense to step up.

It will be a tough road game, but I'm thinking the Utes avenge last year.

    Utes 17, Devils 13.

    Go Utes!

    Two for Flinching

I was right about White but it didn't make any difference.

Congratulations... Lying is now an acceptable form of game preparation.

Hopefully White is available for Conference play. Quite a drop off in production between White and our other running backs. White sees a hole and makes the cut, while the others seem to follow the play to the letter and don't break loose.

While Mr. White's talents were missed in the game tonight, and I wish him a speedy recovery, if the announcers had mentioned him not playing once, they mentioned over a dozen times. I was tempted to turn off the game, and just wait for the results. Clearly, the Utes were capable of playing an effective game without him, and indeed they did! Congratulations to the Utes on their win tonight!
