Google search traffic for 'Bain Capital' spikes
No question that Obama is a disappointment, but Romney is proving to be an even
bigger one. Why didn't the GOP vet all this Bain outsourcing,
Romney's refusal to release tax returns, and Romney cash stashed in Bermuda
and the Caymans long before they selected him? Can you imagine if
Reagan had stashed money abroad or led a corporation that was a
"pioneer" on outsourcing jobs to Mexico and Taiwan as a model for other
U.S. corporations to follow? Yes, it is all perfectly legal -- but it is
disgraceful for a president. If Gore or Kerry were guilty of this, the GOP
would have been all over it too! I was in Nevada this past week and
saw a particularly disturbing ad with Romney singing "America the
Beautiful" off key with images of newspaper headlines about Romney and Bain
off-shoring money and jobs. Too bad we don't see the kinds of ads the
Democrats and GOP are airing in battleground states here in Utah so that we can
see firsthand how the issues are being framed. If anything,
exposure of Romney and Bain business practices educates America about how
"job creators" operate.
Actually Bigelhad it was not at the same point in time. Romney focuses on
pre-1999 activities at Bain, the President is trying to focus on the activities
of post-1999. The difficulty for Romney is that his exit from Bain took several
years, and while he was no longer directly responsible for the decisions made
with regard to acquisitions after 1999, he still was connected with the firm
through his money and his associations. The President is over the top in his
allegations and he knows this. But, it makes for great political rhetoric.
Romney has complied with all legal requirements, the allegations have had no
impact in the polls and it was a mistake for the Democrats to use this so early.
By fall, when it counts it will be old news and of no consequence. This is
another miscalculation of the a desperate campaign as the results of their poor
decisions, leadership and corruption is reported daily in the news.
Apparently LDS Liberal and others on the board "wanting" to believe that
Mitt Romney is really a immoral crook and the devil himself as the Obama camp
has painted him are beginning to believe these red herrings and straw-man
arguments thrown out by the democrats operatives to deflect attention from their
abysmal economic record. There's only one liar who is caught in
his own statements, and that mit.The red herring is that there is
nothing to see here.I don't recall anyone in the Obama Campaign
calling mit the devil, that was probably another republican during the
primaries, remember they were the ones bringing religion into it.That
being said some of the most tasteless and nasty thing are posted daily on this

begin to believe that it is really true.Apparently LDS Liberal and

Open lying by our POTUS. This is stunningly sad to witness.

We just paid Russia millions of dollars to take astronauts to the space station,

"Romney's experience in business is invaluable to our country right
now."How is that? He is so malleable that he will adopt the
party line, regardless of what his business sense tells him.He is
not allowed to have an opinion that differs from the party base. He
is party line all the way, in contrast to his earlier positions. Can you cite one example where he differs? Well, at least today anyway. His past has shown his true colors, which are more reasonable than his
stances of today.Did he see the light, or just get in line.We both know the answer.
Romney's experience in business is invaluable to our country right now.
Obama's attempts to help our country has only led to further failures and
greater costs to us all. I can barely scrape by these days, and the last thing I
need is another tax plan. Obama's got no intention of letting up on the
spending, as evidenced by the fact that Obama passed one of the greatest
increases in government spending, his healthcare plan, and new programs was
passed during one of the worst economic downturns in our nation's history.
Romney is getting a black eye over his refusal to release his tax returns.Certainly a calculated move. Which leads me to believe that
Romney thinks that what is contained in those returns is more damaging than his
refusal to release. Now I really want to see whats there."We have already gone over Obama's use of illegal drugs, which makes

Romney says he was gone from Bain in '99, but company documents appear to
still show him in charge up into 2002. So let's do this: give us the name
of whoever WAS running Bain after Romney, give us a date and documentation.
Heck, they're ALL millionaires, so why not bring in whoever had the job
personally? There's no accusation of law breaking, only of WHO shipped the
jobs out? If they come up with no one, then Mitt's the one, because the
company didn't run itself, right?
Paint Obama with his own brush. Let him answer for everything that has happened
since he "signed on". Maybe he could start by apologizing to the family
of Brian Terry, a border agent who was killed by one of those guns supplied by
the government to Mexican gangs.Outsourcing jobs, assuming that it
even happened under Romney's direction is nothing compared to a man being
killed because of an action of the government, a government which, using
Obama's own idea, should have been under the direct control of the man
sitting in the Oval Office.Let's hear Obama shout loud and long
about what control Romney had at Bain. When he's through shouting,
let's see how he wiggles out of everything that we KNOW that he's done
as President. There's no need to make veiled accusations when all we have
to do is quote Congress.
@Counter Intelligence:"Working at Bain, making money or even
outsourcing jobs are not crimes are they."The Obama campaign is
accusing Romney of sending jobs abroad. If he did, so did the Obama
administration. With spades. How can Obama attack Romney for
outsourcing when he is doing the same thing... with taxpayer money, no less. He
provided billions of tax dollars to GE who employees about 300,000 people, half
of which are employed overseas. And GE pays no income taxes on these overseas
jobs. In fact, GE paid zero, nada income tax. This is insane. Come
on Romney... Get out there and pin Obama's ears back.
No CI, I'm pointing out the inconsistency in your defense of Romney. Just
because his time at Bain wasn't illegal doesn't mean that it was
ethical or moral. I'm sure you know this, yet you continue to defend

He was also sent to prison. Now Mitt is trying the Doofus Defense:

@Ute alum you may do well to actually read counter
intelligence's 1:22 comment which happy valley was responding to before
getting all high and mighty.
Romney brags what a smart business man he is and a the same time he wants the
public to believe he had no interest or concern of what was going on with a
multi million dollar business he owned because he was occupied in SLC with the
Olympics. Is he saying he can't multi-task or command surrogates even
when it means millions to him. It is too hard to believe. If true he would not
make a vey good president because the president has to keep a bunch of balls
balanced in the air at the same time.
Counter Intelligence - "Working at Bain, making money or even outsourcing
jobs are not crimes are they."So thats the new standard you are
running with CI? Abortion is not a crime, yet you waste no effort trumpeting
your opinions about those who are pro-choice. Again, your hypocrisy shows when
defending something you support.Romney violated SEC rules, or he
lied. There is no other option. The fact that you support either result simply
because Romney is the target speaks volumes about you.

Romney's problem is that he is not playing offense so he is stuck playing
defense. He needs to be running oppo ads (or a PAC on his behalf) on

Ute Alumni-"Americans aren't stupid. they were last time with this
picnic organizer, but will not be fooled again."You're wrong
Americans have picked many poor leaders over the years and will do so again.
Obama's strategy is similar to 2008 when he ran on the platform of not
being a Republican, offerng hope and change. Seems this time the hope and
change thing won't work but not being a Republican still provides him a
solid chance for success. Especially when the Republicans are offering one of
the worst national candidates since Barry Goldwater. Outside of Utah, Romney is
not liked. Look no further than the one state public office he did hold and
left with a 33% approval rating. That's G.W. territory, and not providing
much hope for the boys in the corporate offices.
While Mitt was creating jobs with Bain, Obama by his own words was
enthusiastically drinking, taking drugs, and skipping classes.
Either he was working for Bain when they created jobs,in which case, he was
working there when they sent jobs overseas. This supposedly happened in the same
time period. Or, he was not working for Bain at that time and only working on
the olympics. According to the securities and exchange comission (SEC), fraud
(falsifying documents) is a felony. If he was not working for Bain at that time
he comitted fraud. Romney can't have it both ways. Did he work there past
1999 and shipped American jobs overseas or did he falsify documents with the
SEC? As CEO and 100% owner of Bain Capitol until 2002, Romney is responsible for
the operations of Bain Capitol at that time.
heretic lunatic:typical liberal, if you don't agree with the libs,
you are to shut up. good try, your boy will be out because in the end, Americans

Counter Intelligence said"Put up or shut up"If Romney's
own testimony incriminates him (as it has) then he must accept the label of
being a liar and a sleaze, right?
Republicans picked a lemon and now they are stuck with him. If the issue is not
Bain, it is hiding money and not disclosing tax returns. But those may be
better issues to be butting heads over than his time of Govenor when his state
had poor job growth and he left office with a 33% approval rating. Romney's only attribute is he is not Obama but as more of the electorate
takes a look at him Obama gains in the polls.
Looks like Mr. Squeeky clean isn't as squeeky or clean he portrays himself
out to be...
WHILE Romney is running from Bain like a scalded cat and is not talking about
this at all, and, the GOP are to busy to bring it up in Congress, and just sit
back and watch the RNC as it rearranges events on Tampa social calendar,
I'll bring it up. They call it Pakistan's melting pot. Karachi,
estimated to be home to over 18 million people, is the Islamic Republic's
largest and perhaps most cosmopolitan city. But if anti-Americanism is rife in
Pakistan, which currently faces the lowest point of its fractious relationship
with the United States, then it is manifested, physically, almost every week in
Karachi more so than in any other city in Pakistan. But many rallies end in the
same way, the burning of an American flag. And we American's should not
get angry?. But when Terry Jones the senior pastor of Dove World Outreach
Center in Gainsville, Florida, the author of book Islam Is of the Devil, who
first lit a spark on Facebook when he talked about it, then got in the news
after his burning of a Koran, they get angry at us?.
The problem with him "proving" that he had no contact with Bain after
1999 comes from the fact that, if true, he wasn't truthful on documents and
in testimony circa 2002. The documents were filing for the SEC and, most
likely, made under penalty of perjury. He can't have it both ways. He
either had no contact or influence with Bain, in which case he perjured himself,
or he hasn't been truthful in his campaign rhetoric, which would (or
should) cause him BIG problems with his run for President. It really
looks like he's between a rock and a hard ploce.
