I've experienced a change of heart. Wow, you really woke me up. You're right. We need to lock up all guns and fireworks. Take them away from all citizens because no good could ever possibly come from anyone using them.

And just because someone has a car doesn't give him/her the right to use it. When anyone drives a car, there's an accompanying risk of harm to person or property. Take cars also away. People can use public transportation.

I can now see the light you shared earlier. People are going to make mistakes and some of those mistakes are going to be costly. That should not be tolerated. I agree with you. Freedom and liberty are causing most of our problems today.

What we need are laws making it illegal to do anything that puts Mother Earth or any individual or property at risk. Common sense needs to be legislated in order to ensure nothing or no one is harmed. And any item that creates risk should be illegal. Guns, fireworks, cars, matches and lighters, bicycles, barbecue grills, sports, etc.

And protection against all harm is true freedom. Wow! I get it.

It has been reported that 20 fires have been started by target shooting, over a period of time. Im betting if your house was destroyed by target shooting you might want to see some restrictions on where and when it is allowed?

It is good for the public to become informed about fire risks associated with parking cars on dry weeds/grass. Here people are told to only mow and weed whack early in the day to reduce the risk of fire. Also it is mandatory for homeowners to mow their fields (except those being cultivated).

Imagine how much better things would be for everyone if we used our time for assisting rather than criticizing and blaming. Accidents happen and at times have tragic results. All the finger pointing and cussing won't change what happened.

It looks like its going to be a bad year for fires. Step one - use common sense about any activities which might cause another one. Step two - if there is a fire, act responsibly and assist others. Step three - Spend your time rebuilding not rebuffing.

That's right. Because this fire was caused by a hot car (muffler), we need to ban fireworks and target shooters.

Regarding the eight current fires burning in Utah, I asked my family last night how many were caused by people. They jointly said all of them--by target shooters. As of last night, only two were known to have been caused by humans. Two had been caused by lightning. The other causes were unknown.

So it goes to prove the power of the media to drive their message.

So... I guess fireworks are out of the picture this year?
