American families: Debt loads increase while savings shrink

    Don't follow the government as an example of how to handle finances. They spend what they don't have and then just raise taxes to meet their obligations.

    And what about the continual rising cost of healthcare? When everything else is flat why do they enjoy the steady steep increase in costs every year? My healthcare insurance went up over 400% in 11 years, and it's still going up EVERY YEAR. Why do we sit still for this????????

    Yes, that will happen when consumer confidence increase, making people more comfortable they will be able to service their debt load, and ease back on saving into their rainy day fund. Shocking isn't it.
