@ Riverton Cougar, thank you for your comments. You and I will have to agree to disagree.

I know that the Bush/Rove/Cheney Administration created the problems that caused the bail outs. These bail outs started during the BRC Administration. These bail outs have worked and are continuing to help pull us out of the Bush, Rove, Cheney Era.
Those bail outs were not free. Think for a minute. Please don't allow those that spew words of hate in entertainment political radio and television blind you.

    NielT,

I happen to be poor myself. I am not saying that every unemployed person is lazy and would rather not have a job, but there are quite a few like that. I have met enough people who are or who have been on welfare and they feel like they always need welfare.

"Do any of you remember the cost, financially and in life for our country because of GWB's actions?"

    olwmaster2,

If I recall correctly, Bush's two "costly" wars and actions increased our debt by about $4 trillion over the space of eight years. Obama's actions? More than $5 trillion in only 3 years!

"Even Republicans can see improvement in our economy"

We knew the economy would eventually recover, but it is DESPITE Obamam not because of him. It should be far, far more improved than it is now. All we see is a slowly, slowly recovering economy with an enormous deficits and debt.

How many of you, the posters here on this subject can afford to even contemplate installing any type of elevator in your home?
How many of you can remember the declaration, in full flight suit, by George W Bush that victory was achieved in Iraq?
Who can remember the weapons of mass destruction found in Iraq?
Do any of you remember the cost, financially and in life for our country because of GWB's actions?
It took 8 years to get the United States in this mess in the first place. It hasn't been without pain and cost to get us to the point we are now. Even Republicans can see improvement in our economy so they talk religion, Obama bashing, contraceptives and other candidate personalities.
Another Republican in the White House? Are you crazy??
For those that tend to be judgmental, yes, I am a moderate and I am not on welfare but I do as the LDS Church does, support welfare programs for the poor and less fortunate.
Please look inward. Please think for yourselves. Linbaugh and Hannity are entertainers and not authorities on how to run a nation.
Please repent and show love for your neighbors.

Riverton Cougar you're comments are mean spirited. I suspect a lot of people on welfare would much rather be employed. With unemployment at record levels jobs are difficult to find. What is wrong with this country. Why do we always blame everything on the poor and needy. Most poor are employed. They are referred to as the working poor

Well, Romney is rich and he is a Mormon.....SO WHAT! Success is not a dirty word now is it? When we as individuals look to invest in something, we are influenced by the success of the venture and the success of those running it. So, why on earth do we pick guys like Obama who have no experience running anything...ever. Folks..wake up...Romney can fix this mess we are in, Obama has proven, in so many ways, that he cannot.

As far as the Mormon thing goes.....I measure a person by how they live their lives, not by where they go to Church on Sunday. Romney pays a full tithe, is faithful to his wife and family....and will be a great example to people around the world, both friend and foe. Lets get behind this guy Romney and get this country put back together again by someone who knows how to do it right.

I happen to like Obama (not EVERYTHING he's ever done) and agree nothing on your cute little list of silliness. I think I've had a job ever since I was 14, wouldn't even know how to get food stamps, and don't care if a president plays basketball or not. And as an independant, I've also lived in Utah long enough to know that democrats certainly, don't have a monopoly on telling people how to live. Utah Republicans have more laws here that actually affect what I can and can't do in my day to day life, than Pres. Obama could pass in 50 terms.

It's funny that there is the impression that Mitt can't relate to the common man. Having been an LDS bishop likely put him more in touch with the everyday issues of people from all walks of life than most politicians. It's just not something you talk about, unfortunately.

Having had multiple opportunities to work with those in church leadership positions across the whole spectrum of socio-economic status, there's such a strong dose of reality that comes from working closely with individuals, that it's hard to believe he couldn't "connect" to people from all walks of life.

Re: Lane Myer: "Who has elevators for their cars? Really?"

Not Mitt Romney. That proposed renovation of the La Jolla beach house has not been done yet and may never be done. Besides, in that area, it is usually illegal to park cars on the street and so it's quite common for people to have car elevators (so you can fit more cars in the garage). If you stack cars on top of each other, you can easily fit four where otherwise you could only fit two. In any case, it's Mitt Romney's money, he can do what he wants with it. Why do some people get upset that Mitt Romney might spend money only building a car elevator because he has the money but the same people do not get upset at a President and Congress who spend way more money than the government has?

"I am currently living in Montana, and I really am wondering were all these people are who choose Obama over Romney?"

LeonardL, try looking for the people who are on welfare because they don't want to get a job. I'm sure that's where the Obama supporters are.

I am currently living in Montana, and I really am wondering were all these people are who choose Obama over Romney? Nearly everyone I speak to cannot wait to get Obama out of the White house, and many feel lucky someone with Mitt Romney's leadership ability came along when the country needs it. I think these anti Romney polls are just the media trying make this into a contest, when the truth is Romney will demolish Obama. Look at all the Democrats going up against Republicans in other races around the country, the Democrats are looking at another wipe out just like the 2010 mid terms. And Romney will be part of the massacre.

I'd much rather have someone who knows how to balance a checkbook and make money in the White House than the current president who is trying to bankrupt our country.

Liberals think the answer to our financial problems is a quick trip to their friendly payday lender. How to pay the money back is somebody else's problem.

I hope the American people are beginning to see the truth for what it is. Obama is a disaster and is destroying our country. Mitt Romney is the only person at this moment in time who is qualified to turn our economy around and restore America to a position of greatness. He is a brilliant visionary, reliable, a skilled businessman, a man of true integrity, and he loves America too much to stand by and watch us sink any lower, which is inevitable under four more years of an Obama administration. I will definitely vote for Mitt Romney. He will be a great president.

The only one word label that can appropriately describe Romney is "Romney". Labeling human beings who we don't know personally- especially in the media, I don't think does any good. Maybe I'm wrong, but I've yet to see anything that would explain how on this point.

More rich, less Mormon? Many make this judgement without realizing that the Book of Mormon had many that were righteous and prospered. Prospering didn't MAKE them unrighteous, as some leaders still prospered despite the masses forgetting God, and so on. The real question about Romney's faithfulness isn't his wealth, but his... faithfulness. And do any of the masses really have an adequate answer to that? Authority or ability to judge that? Absolutely not.

Do any of us not know this already? No. So what matters here, in my opinion, is our willingness to participate in such practices. I for one, will not. While being a conservative, I disagree with Santorum on his beliefs regarding Libertarianism. That doesn't justify me judging how righteous he is or isn't.

    why people like Obama more...

    1. They love high gas prices.... nothing like plopping a $120 on the counter to fill up your suv!!
    2. They hate work.Unemployment provides more free time to do what you want... stare hopelessly into space.
    3. They love to be told what to do and how to live - thinking for yourself is too hard.
    4. They love food stamps
    5. They like the idea of Russia having better missile defenses that us. We trust Russia.... and China. They are our friends.
    6. They love seeing a trillion added to our national debt every month. Big numbers are fun!!! Big numbers mean we are #1.
    7. They love having a guy that plays basketball as president. Basketball is cool.
    8. They love Obama's wise cracks and sense of humor. It takes a sense of humor to really understand him afterall.
    9. They love their new wind powered suv!!
    10. Mitt Romney might make them start working again!!!

    @LDS Liberal

"...and let the same thing happen all over again."

GWB increased the national debt by $4 Trillion. BHO by $5 Trillion. It has ALREADY happened again.

This isn't about party anymore. It's about competence. I never thought GWB was the best choice when the GOP put him up. I KNOW Barack Obama isn't up to the job. He clearly has a different definition of success. (His energy secretary admitted that the administration WANTS $8/gallon gas.)

Romney will run circles around Obama.

"No – We are very VERY aware of it.
We’re just not stupid enough [your words, not mine] to put another Republican back in the Oval Office and let the same thing happen all over again."

So, let's not put a guy from the same party as a guy who added 5 trillion in 8 years, because he MIGHT do the same thing. Instead, let's put in a guy who has ALREADY added MORE than 5 trillion in only 3 years. That makes a lot of sense!

The last republican spent a lot of money, and we don't want to risk that. Better safe than sorry and put Obama back in, knowing full well that even IF (and that's a really, really big if) he didn't add another penny to the debt, he would STILL have added more than Bush. Completely logical. Next!

Why on earth would so many people still vote Obama over Romney. Perhaps they don't know that the economy is still bad, they don't know that the national debt is up almost 6 trillion in just 3 years. Because if they did know all that stuff, they'd be stupid to vote for him.

Romney=Competence. By the way, those numbers against Obama are good, especially 6 months before the election. The incumbent is and should always have the edge but by only 3-4 points, that is good news for Romney! Those of you who still have other opinions about Romney, it might be well to consider Obama when he ran in 2008, he had no experience (executive, business, etc,) at all compared to Romney. And Obama has admitted to that by saying he's still in training, let alone that his lack of experience has clearly shown in his first term. So c'mon let's get someone who has had the experience to run a state, a business, the Olympics, etc., ROMNEY 2012!
