@Yankees27: Who is the judgmental one here? Without knowing me or anything about me you call me a coward.

One 160-pound person may not bring the arch down, but hordes of people swinging from it eventually could. Sandstone erodes easily; that's how these magnificent arches were formed in the first place.

It's not about cowardice; it's about respecting and preserving the irreplaceable.

RG- I have to disagree about the music. Although I won't have this song on my ipod, I think if you listen to it, the lyrics kind of go with the video. It's a catchy tune and seems happy, which, if you watch the people in the video, they are indeed happy. Also, there is a line in the song that says something like "I'm blessed to be spitting these rhymes, instead of being in a cubicle losing my mind" These kids have it figured out, they are living life to the fullest and not letting others control them or their way of thinking.

Great video! I want to do it!

Ms.Anthropy- you've got to be kidding right? A 160-200 pound human swinging with a nylon rope against tens of thousands of pounds of rock? Ya, I like those odds. This looks like a lot of fun and honestly, I wished I would have thought of it first. Every time someone goes outside traditional thinking, a bunch of people go off on how it's wrong of someone to think or act like this. Maybe you should just admit you're scared to do it, scared to think the way they do, and not try and change the outside world, but work on changing your judgmental attitude instead.

Life is short. Go live it!

Another special person for whom rules of decency and respect do not apply. When this beautiful arch crumbles and falls in 20 years, we'll have it to tell our grandchildren how this once proud landmark was sacrificed so a bunch of overgrown children could swing from it.

NEXT UP: someone's gets hurt, lawsuits ensue, and then this activity will be made illegal.

I'm with RG in Buena Vista on the music. If the arch is still there in fifty years, I want to see the same guys do it again. Of course, in fifty years I'll be 122, so it won't happen for me.

Awesome video!! But the "music" is another story. I have to turn off the sound to enjoy the video.
