There is no good reason for someone to own an automatic or semiautomatic weapon. Our country is sick and run by extremists.

Las Vegas shooting leaves GOP-backed gun bills in limbo

If really and truly is 'good' legislation the GOP were proposing,
then why should a mass shooting killing 61 and injuring 512 stop it?

Good laws should stand on their own merit regardless of the situation,
Bad laws soley for scoring political points - do not.

If gun control would stop murders, I'm for it.

But taking guns away from innocent people who want protection is not going to cut it.

Crazy how our country has created about eighty percent of the worlds weapons, and yet want to disarm its citizens.

Sensible gun control is in everyone's best interest.

The type of weapon used in the Las Vegas attack should not be available to citizens. How did he get this gun and how can we prevent it in the future?

I'm surprised Republicans didn't convene a 2 AM session last night and jammed this legislation through before a majority of Americans heard the gruesome news.

Both parties have had victims of gun violence.

Just when are they going to work together to curb gun violence?
