"LOL that is classic cougie fan right there so funny! You say in number 2 you don't boast about a loss then right away in 3 and 4 you boast about a 1 point loss........LOL!"

And there's a classic hater right there: claim that any mention of the game is boasting about a 1-point loss.

I've explained it so many times that I've come to the conclusion that the haters will just ignore it continue to make that claim anyway (they don't want the truth, they just want to make BYU look bad), so why bother? I have explained how it's not boasting in any way, they just make the claim that it is without any explanation or evidence. That's the way they roll.

    @Riverton cougie...........

    2. Utah "fans" will claim that BYU fans "boast" about a loss.

    3. Utah "fans" will claim dominance over a team they beat by one point at home, in the last minute, against a team that has a brand new HC, OC, DC, offense, and defense in their second game together, a team which the Ute "fans" will claim has such inferior talent.

    4. Utah "fans" will say it will be 7 in a row this September because they have such superior talent/coaching (which results in a one-point dominating victory).

LOL that is classic cougie fan right there so funny! You say in number 2 you don't boast about a loss then right away in 3 and 4 you boast about a 1 point loss........LOL!

Best of luck to all these coaches. Although I am extremely partial to Coach Whitt, I like Sitake and think he is a great guy. I have always said that BYU should have offered him first instead of trying to bring in a bigger name. I don't know much about Wells, but I do like USU, and I don't like to see them in down years - and I think this will be one of those years.

    Go Utes!

    Bring on Football!

"Riverton Cougar.....spreading hatred of the Utah Utes 24/7"

Hating on the Utes? No. Making observations of the behavior of some of the "fans"? Yes.

    "Riverton Cougar,

It's not Utah fans speaking of a 'special' season"

You must not read these comments often.

"And it's year after year after year."

Comments about a new sheriff in town year after year? I think not.

I like how all of the paranoid cougars are jumping on the UTE fans before anybody says anything. Very first comment "Man was Right" is trying to trash the UTES. Very funny how obsessed you are about the UTES.

Riverton Cougar.....spreading hatred of the Utah Utes 24/7.....and personally complying with the mission of BYU athletics to "Build a distinctive, exceptional athletic program that is fully aligned with the mission and values of Brigham Young University and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.....while displaying world-class sportsmanship." How's that going for you, Riverton?

    Riverton Cougar,

It's not Utah fans speaking of a "special" season; or "a new sheriff in town"; or "the paradigm has shifted." And it's year after year after year. We all find this amusing and accordingly comment on it. Guilty.

Since some here are apparently upset about the lack of "5 things", here's on for you:

5 Things to look for in the comments as DesNews writes an article about BYU Football:

    1. Utah "fans" will come up with expectations for BYU football and claim they came from BYU fans.

    5. Utah "fans" will make frantic and emotional comments.

And what we know is that every story or headline about other schools is really all about the coogs, according to at least one Ute-obsessed coog fan.

    @Christoph
What? "Over in September and they know it?" Wait a minute, November has been the issue but the Utes have been in contention long past September. Dude, as far as I remember, Utah is the only team in the country who hasn't made the Colllege Football Playoff that has been ranked in its' rankings when they first come out until the end of the year since it's inception the last three seasons.

Headline: "Here's what you need to know about the Cougars, Utes, and Aggies"

Then we have links to an article about each team...

"5 storylines to follow as Utah football camp opens"

    So far, so good...

"5 things to look for as Utah State prepares for 2017 football campaign"

    I'm noticing a trend here...

"BYU expecting 'special' season in Year 2 under Sitake"

Haha! No "5 things" or "preparations", or "camp opens"...instead we go straight to grandiose predictions. Well done, Deseret News. Stereotypes are funny because sometimes they really are true. Where do I buy my "2017 Special Season" t-shirt?

Utah season is over in early September and they know it. That is why they (Utah) get up well vs. the Y. Two close games the last two years, something has to give.
