With Durrant, Curry and Thompson, who is going to be the alpha scorer? Is someone willing to give up their shots to another star? Are the masters of cut and shoot and catch and shoot going to become catch or cut and pass? Steve Kerr has some coaching to do.

@65toss - your comment makes absolutely no sense. How are the Warriors better without Barnes and Bogut? This is called addition of a great player in Durrant and subtraction of two very good players. Too bad they couldn't find a way to keep Bogut and add Durrant but didn't have the cap room without trading another key player.

This is called addition by subtraction.

Golden State playing defense? That's an oxymoron. Bogut was done in GS regardless of the KD sweepstakes win. He'll be fine in Dallas. Good for him.

Are we even entertaining a discussion that the warriors would be better if they kept Bogut and passed on Durrant? Please stop the nonsense. Top three in scoring all but his first year in the league and a top defender? Yes the Warriors went doen a step when Bogut went out, but if they were able to replace him with Durrant in the playoffs Cleveland had no chance. Love this move, and I think Bogut has a chance to excel in Dallas and make Dallas much better.

As I understand it, Bogut was made fully aware that if the Warriors were to win the KD sweepstakes, he would be the big casualty. I don't think it would be looking too far into it to mention earlier this week he had already removed photos of him in GSW garb in his Twitter avi.

Would be really cool to see the Mavs package him in another trade to Cleveland for Love and have him go stick it to the Dubs next year, but I can't imagine it would happen.

Should have kept Bogut. I'm not a warriors fan, but less so now.

    foxtrot,
I don't think the idea was durrant for bogut, but perhaps the warrioirs would have been smarter to find a way to clear cap space and keep bogut - trade someone less valuable

Losing a good defensive minded center to get an all star scoring forward. Golden state struggled on Defense when Bogut did not play.
Overall, I'm not sure this makes them a better overall team without knowing what other changes GS will make to their roster. They need help in the 4-5 positions.

I think I understand the Warrior's reasoning to clear cap space for Durrant, but I question their logic. While Durrant is is an offensive threat, Bogut was a stopper on defense. Remember that the Warriors were up 3-1 against Cleveland until they managed to injure him (accidentally???), and after that nobody on the Warrior's team could stop Lebron and company.
