    Think globally. Act locally. But I think this should be rewritten to say, "THINK GLOBALLY, act locally." There mistake is that they ACT LOCALLY and they did not think globally.

    The problem with these protests is that it lets us continue to delude ourselves that it is the evil oil companies that are creating this problem. It isn't. It is US. We demand material goods and they require an energy input, either in getting the raw materials, processing them and then in shipping them to us and then they need an energy input to run.

    We need to get away from supply side environmentalism to demand side environmentalism. Consume less energy, drive down the price of oil. Instead of reducing the supply and driving up the price.

    It is our paradigms that are destroying us.

    I hope this gets the same backlash that the Oregonians who seized public property got. But, it won't.
