I was hoping the "new" charges against the Bundy's would be insighting Mr. Finicum to commit suicide by cop,
    and a LDS Bishop's court.

The Oregonian/ has the video mashup from the surveillance plane and Shawna Cox's cellphone several commenters referred to on this thread. It synchronizes the two perspectives. The Cox video answer's the question: 'What were they thinking?' Finicum and the other insurrectionists believed they would have backup if they could reach a sovereign citizen movement 'constitutional' sheriff 50 about miles away from the traffic stop and roadblock.

My two earlier postings ( 10:20 p.m. & 9:27 a.m. ) have ONLY been attempts to inform DN internet readers of a new video showing two different views of this tragic event. One view is from an aircraft and the other from within the Finicum vehicle. I have said nothing that supports or condemns any person or action thus far.

    I will comment now.

Mr. Finicum and 3 other persons were stopped 2 times at roadblocks. Mr. Finicum was exceedingly confrontational at both roadblocks. He verbally challenged the police several times to shoot him at the first roadblock as he sat in the drivers seat. He verbally said that other like minded colleagues were coming to help him. He drove away from the first roadblock. He came close to running over one law enforcement officer at the second roadblock. He exited the vehicle and was verbally very confrontational. The tragic result of his confrontational actions was his tragic death by gunshots.

So you consider a person committing fraud for at best a couple hundred dollars a month more of a problem then people with guns running around calling for a "blood bath?"

How many people have scammed the food stamp, or education financial aid programs? Many have dishonestly sued?

There's a large circle of scammers and their like.

Like I said, Ammon Bundy is the least of American problems.

You don't have to get too mouthy to a cop writing you a speeding ticket to get into a lot of trouble. To be armed and making threats of gunplay and violence should have exponential consequences, as it did in this case.
He wanted to be a martyr and a hero and a rugged individualist, but he ended up a terrorist.

I would agree with you. The Bundy's and their like are nothing but an after thought except to their small circle of supporters. They'll be locked up and forgotten and be nothing but a trivia pursuit question in just a few years. I agree with a previous poster that these people surrounded themselves with like minded people, and got caught up in their own echo chamber. Now, Lavoy's family has to go on without him when he clearly had the choice to live or die.

This bird refuge fiasco will be the worst and most unsuccessful attempted coup and revolution carried out by the most people. in recent history. A sad comment on the fringe gun toting right.

The combined video that is the companation of the two the separate videos that clearly show he made multiple threats and charged from the truck after running a previous road block? How exactly does it change the fact that he threatened a "blood bath" refused to exit his vehicle at the first road block threatened that he has back up on the way, told the officers to shot him several times as he charged from the truck, and had a gun in his belt that he repeatedly reached for after exiting the truck. He was a dangerous criminal that was clearly determined to creat a "blood bath."

I wonder if it has begun to sink in with these people just how much trouble they have gotten themselves into. They get together with their like minded friends and talk. What they decided to do sounded very reasonable in that echo-chamber. Now real life rears its ugly head.

The video that combines the view from an aircraft AND from within the Finicum vehicle was released in the last 48 hours.

My printed copy of the DN received this morning ( March 10, 2016 ) in Payson contains no information about the "combined" video. This new "combined" video is easily accessed on the internet.

The video from inside the car clearly shows that Finnecum had a death wish. He wanted an altercation and to be a martyr.

So have you actually watched the video. At the first road block he refuses to follow officers orders to exit the truck, he makes repeated threats stating "this ends in a blood bath" and claims that he "has. back up on the way." He repeatedly tells them to shot him before speeding away. As soon as they get to the second road block you can see hin Junp out of the truck and can hear him saying "go ahead and shot me." At no time during the video can you see anything happening outside the truck. The video only further supports the officers report that this man was a threat and that the shooting was justified.

They postes the aircraft video the day it was release. The article hand almost 100 comments I'm sure you can find it. They haven't posted video of from inside the car yet on the site but they have two separate articles about it within the last week. It's pretty easy to find on google or youtube.

This is amazing. It's like having a real war cinematographer present. With all the shooting going on, an individual had the presence of mind to expose himself/herself to hostile fire, maintain focus on the shooting victim, and document all this with explanatory audio for everyone to see. This must be some footage.

And you say the DesNews has this secret film? Did the FBI give it to them after they confiscated everything in the car? Or did the person taking the video swallow the camera and then smuggle it out of their jail cell and deliver it to the DesNews? And the cameraperson must have had a fully-charged battery since 12.5 minutes with a cell phone (assuming that was what was used) uses a lot of the battery.

But you said film, right. That suggests it was not a digital camera or cell phone but a camera capable of shooting film which means it was large and bulky. Congratulations to the person operating the camera! That took guts.

I sure want to see this "film". I hope the DesNews releases it soon, hopefully on TMZ.

There is a 12 minute and 33 second film showing the shooting of Mr. Finicum. It presents the scene from above from a police aircraft and from inside the Finicum vehicle. One of Mr. Finicum's passengers recorded the scene from inside the Finicum vehicle. You can see the ongoing scene from both locations at the same time.

Will the DN also provide access to this film?

Actions have consequences, and those criminals should face the full extent of the law. Taking arms against federal and local authorities is no joke. This should be a good lessons to potential criminals in Utah.
