I agree with DN Subscriber! "This can get very bad, very quickly at a
horrendous cost of human life and environmental damage."I would
be interested in some of the other posters opinions! If North Korea were to
invade South Korea, and we became involved in supporting South Korea, do you
think China would become involved supporting North Korea?I'm
thinking this is not a pretty scenerio!
This is on top of North Korea's provocative missile launch on Sunday, their
nuclear weans tests, constant harangues about war with the U.S. and South Korea,
and yesterday's murder of his top military leader on orders from the
country's dictator. There is no doubt that north Korea is being
run by a certifiably crazy person. With nukes. With missiles that can reach
the U.S. (including Utah!). With a country that is unable to feed its starving
population, but has a massive army poised to invade prosperous South Korea. This is a very dangerous situation, and we desperately need intelligent
adults on our side to monitor, and be prepared to instantly respond to whatever
totally irrational actions may be taken by North Korea. Our safety is in
jeopardy with the leadership we currently have, who are delusional about the
threats we face and the appropriate courses of action. This can get
very bad, very quickly at a horrendous cost of human life and environmental
Interesting that North Korea would state that South Korea's actions are a
"declaration of war" since they have been in a literal state of war ever
since the cease-fire in 1953. A final peace accord has yet to be achieved and
isn't likely to occur any time soon.
It's not going to take much for this to get out of hand.
This is like two kids fighting, but with dangerous toys.
