@TheMustaOne thing is for sure......they are both more accurate and
reliable than the questionable methods used by The Daily Herald in selecting
their "All Valley Team".
interesting Difference between The Desnews and Tribune Selection. Appears to me
that the Tribune uses more weight from Coaches who actually game plans for the
opposing players that are listed and are more qualify to decide who the best
players in the States are..
There are 2 quarterbacks, 2 running backs, 2 WR's (Not even a TE). 6 OL, 5
DL, 4 LB, 4 DB. What's wrong with that? That's only 25 players. I
don't get what the complaint is. How about we congratulate these kids for
@Cowboy 51I completely agree with what you just wrote. There is no
consistency, criteria or formula for these selections. Some selections are
very obvious while others are very subjective. However, it has been that way
for many years. The sad part is that the all-region voting is roughly 10 times
more subjective, discombobulated and political. Either way, congrats to all
those that were recognized this year and those that should have been. Both
groups know who they are.
Congratulations to all these young men and all the people who have helped them
along the way, including family, little league coaches, mentors, scout leaders
and of course their high school coaches. Also a big thanks to the entire
education community in Utah who seek to educate the whole child. emb
I always like looking at the All State Teams. The teams have no consistency. Two
first team quarterbacks, 3 running backs no full backs or tight ends. anywhere
from 3-6 OL 2-7 DL 2-5 LB and so on. No Punters. This seems like a bunch of
politics to me. Look at the NCAA ALL American Teams or NFL all-pro That award
one per position. All State in Utah is a joke.
