@Hugo:You haven't been following the comments of Y fans,
either, evidenced by your assertion that all BYU fans want to see KW gone.
Speaking for myself and all those I know, we're excited that you have a
great program, great new facilities for both football and b-ball, and hope you
can keep KW and Coach K as long as we had Coach Edwards. We think they both
represent the U well, and we're happy that a Y alum has done so well for
the U. If KW wins the national championship he should be BYU alum of the
year. There is more than enough going on the Y - in all sports - to
hold our attention. We're not undefeated (congrats to the U - and hope
they finally get a W against ASU), but we're excited with our team. We
have a great QB in the making as we all suspected after his Elite 11 showing,
our ground game has been much better than expected after Williams left school,
our defense has been good enough except against Michigan, and we will stick by
them come what may.
I haven't been able to follow all latest comments on this but I trust that
many of my fellow Ute fans have pointed out how humorous it is that a little
over a year ago all the BYU fans were desperately hoping Whitt would be gone
from the U for not winning enough games. Now BYU fans are desperately hoping to
see him gone from the U for winning too many games. Seems to me you're all
just plain old desperate. Is there really nothing going on in Cougarland to hold
Truth has a great point. Whitt should ride this very good Utah team right into
Trojan Land. Next year the wheels could come off and an opportunity lost.
This would be a great career move for Whittingham with a fringe benefit of
"in your face" to Chris Hill. the Utes Offense is peaking this year and
will take a step back next year without a good qb and with inexperienced
rb's and receivers. Next year will probable be a 5-6 win team.
