Worf, I print this once a month to help people remember:
"Shortly after his inauguration as President, George W. Bush announced on January 25, 2001, that his first trip out of the country would be to Mexico to meet with, Mexican President,Vicente Fox.Bush's explicit goal was to make good on his campaign promise that if he were elected President he would forge with Mexico. At the center of this relationship was the thorny issue of immigration, the movement of Mexican workers into the United States, both legally and illegally, and more importantly, their treatment and fate in the US. For seven years the Bush administration made good on its promise and guaranteed the unfettered movement of cheap Mexican labor into the United States and to secure it through routes to American citizenship."
Maybe GW's intentions were intended to be good but by 2002 this country was flooded with illegal aliens. Overnight, good paying jobs for Americans were cut in half. From janitorial to high-rise construction Americans lost good jobs. Thanks to Republicans and Bush.

    @LOU Montana,

It's no secret minorities give a large percentage of their votes to Democrats. These votes are bought for through benefits, and our country has accumulated a large debt because of it.

Our leaders have sold us out, to advance their wealth through political careers.

Your narrow focus on George Bush, perceived conservatives, and Republicans, are blinding you from reality.

Our national debt is greater than all the funds of citizens combined.

As a nation, are we ever going to be foreclosed on? If yes, what would that be like?

Has our President, and Congress, done us any favors?

After reading all the loving comments from the Conservatives above me it is no wonder Latinos vote a Democratic ticket.
You commenters need to examine your comments from a distance and really listen how you sound.

Fact still remains, there are millions of Latin/Hispanic people who are third and fourth generation Americans. These same Latin Americans fight in wars and pay taxes just like everyone else. Illegal aliens are the life blood of the republican business plan. Once they have lived in America long enough they see how little they are paid and turn against the people who hire them. Soon they take work from the contractors who originally hired them. This is how the immigration plan has been backfiring on republicans for years. You bet they are voting Democrat to protect their jobs from other illegal aliens.

There is one question that is never answered by the left.

If the republican party overwhelming supported the civil rights act, and they certainly did with much higher percentages from the very beginning compared to the racist democrats, why would racist democrats leave the democrat party to join them?

The dixiecrat claim is not even logical. It makes no sense.

If anyone left the racist democratic party it was most certainly for other reasons.

The "dixiecrat" is myth perpetuated by the extreme left.

The racists never left the Democrat party.

Al Gore Sr. - Never left the Democrat party.
Sen. Byrd - Never left the Democrat party.
LBJ - never left the Democrat Party.
Sen. Hollins never left the Democrat party.
Gov. Wallace never left the Democrat party.

and list goes on and on.

The democrats fought long and hard against the civil rights act until it became too politically unpopular to do so then they falsely claimed they supported all along.

The only thing that changed after the civil right act passed was the false story of who the Democrats are.

Hatch left the democrat party around 1970 was he a so-called dixiecrat?

In fact if any left the democrat party it was because the Democrat party was moving so far left beginning in the sixties.

And the Democrat party has now moved so far left and taken over by socialists, marxists and progressives (communists), that the moderate right and center right now looks like extremists to them. Another false story the left are now telling.

OK-I'll just give you one racist comment made by the current front runner in the GOP race:
"When Mexico sends it people, they're not sending it's best. They're sending you people with lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapist. And some, I assume, are good people"
Outside of a few Fox loyalist most would say that's a racist belief and comment.

Southern Republicans had higher rates than Southern Democrats of opposing the civil rights act. Northern Republicans had higher rates than Northern Democrats of opposing the civil rights act. So why were more Democrats than Republicans opposed? Because Democrats controlled the South... back then. Democrats aren't getting the white vote in the South these days. Most of them left the party (the Dixiecrats), and eventually joined the Republican party when Nixon was doing his Southern Strategy.

My thought is that most of the things old Sven referred to happened before the Nixon plan to turn white racists into Republicans using his Southern Strategy, which has worked pretty well. Show me a race hater today and I'll show you someone whose father was a Democrat but who himself is a GOP loyalist who frequently emits the term "RINO" to refer to anyone whose hate is insufficient.

When all else fails, the Left use the race card. Getting very old.

Please provide specific examples of racism you claim??

Let's talk about who has the real history of racism in our nation shall we:

    * Jim Crow segregation laws were enacted by Democrats

    * The 1924 Democrat National Convention was host to one of the largest Klan gatherings in American history

    * The 1964 Civil Rights Act: Democrat support 61%; Republican support 80%. Interestingly, former Democrat Senator Robert K Byrd (former Exalted Cyclops in the KKK) filibustered the 1964 Civil Rights Act, as did Democrat Al Gore Sr.

    * Democrat President Franklin Roosevelt gave us the disgraceful Japanese Internment Camps

    * Democrat Senator Ernest Hollings and his history of racial slurs towards blacks

    * Margaret Sanger, Liberal Icon and founder of Planned Parenthood, in her 1939 "Negro Project" had as her goal, the desire to greatly reduce the Black population, or as she referred to them, "human weeds." Ever wonder why so many Planned Parenthood Centers are in the inner-city? 13 million black babies aborted since 1973.

It's interesting that some politiians are promising Latinos that they will help them break the law of the land. Only those who tell illegal aliens that they must go home are supported by the law.

    How weird is that?

Latinos are a weak political force because they don't naturalize and they don't vote. Fewer than 25% of green card holders bother to become citizens. And there are been great efforts made to encourage them. They waived the English requirement, allowed dual citizenship, offered free classes, and even waived the $680 fee...and they still didn't move the needle.

The only real influence of Latinos is the Anchor Babies who don't need to do anything but register to vote.

We're talking about Hillary Clinton here; these are probably illegals she's referring to. With her e-mail scandal ramping up, she's going to need all the votes she can get.

The two Democratic frontrunners: 1) an old white female who can't tell the truth, and 2) an old white male who's a Socialist. You can't make this stuff up. :-D

Note to Hillary: your biggest enemy isn't the GOP, it's Barack Hussein Obama...he's the one pushing this investigation of your e-mails; he wants you gone.
