America gives out more green cards than they do each year (over one million). I think we are more than doing our share, they talk about 15,000, we see ten times that in the surges on our south border each year. Of course we could always stop giving out green cards to people who are not refugees (no country in the Americas carry that designation) and give them to these third world nations. But only after we get a new President that will actually have background checks done.

He is asking European parishes to take on a family or two and doing it himself. The Vatican is a independent nation within Italy. What is so remarkable is the people fleeing aren't catholic. A parish taking them in wiudo give them an immediate support system of a welcoming group of people. Far more important than four walls, a roof and a week's groceries in the cabinet. These people have been through so much.

This isn't rational as being a big step.
It is good but get real people.
Catholics & LDS could work together to house those who suffer & are homeless the world over.
Put our minds & money to the best way to do this.

The pope has how many Catholic members who are in the same needy position round the world.

The same reason LDS don't open doors to all the homeless here in SLC, UT.
They fear the homeless from all over would show up for a room.

We aren't acting as civilized human beings.
We think we are doing pretty good.
That is the lies of self-deception caused by our sub-conscious mind protecting our personal mental stability and other selfish factors.

This is the truth of human reality. We have an instinct problem blocking our moral choices & actions.
    Pope Francis & Pres. Monson.
are we humans being blinded to the suffering of others by our instinct mechanism.
Is our instinct mechanism in reality Religious concept Satan?

By telling the LDSSaints & Catholic members this truth. we can do what is needed to end the suffering of our fellow human beings.

Satan is revealed operating sub-conscious minds/reality.

Maybe our church should do something like that.

What a refreshing breath of air this Pope has been. While I do not agree with everything he says and stands for I have nothing but respect for him.
