    If Americans showed up in force, our so-called allies would be defecting in droves to join ISIL.

    After our idiotic, careless, and egocentric romp through Iraq under GW Bush and the deaths of over 100 thousand Muslims in their own land and the destruction of a thriving nation's infrastructure, we're not going to have ANYBODY on our side except in name only. Even the Israelis will probably realize they have milked the American cow until there is nothing left.

    Sure, we could successfully kill hundreds of thousands of Muslims, but as soon as we pull out, BAM . . . Anti-American forces will be back stronger than ever.

    Unless we want to maintain a huge force there in perpetuity, there will be nothing resembling a win for us in the Middle East. And face it, we have better things to do with our money.
