TRUTH, Salt Lake City, UT; "$1 billon certainly won't teach one liberal engineer in engineer boots how to drive a train!"
You sure assume a lot of things.

Without question we need less war and more spending at home. Why is this such a problem?

If +$22 trillion dollars taken from the rich and given to the poor hasn't raised even one American out of poverty.........$1 billon certainly won't teach one liberal engineer in engineer boots how to drive a train!

"Nice that you dutifully ignore the fact that this accident had nothing to do with infrastructure"

I didn't claim that it did, so why do I have to address that? The fact that this train derailed presumably primarily if not entirely due to speed related reasons doesn't change the fact that we have major infrastructure issues in this country.

    "1.3 billion wasn't enough?"

I think some of that went to making new Amtrak lines rather than necessarily updating current ones but I'm really not sure on the particulars of it. Infrastructure issues go way past Amtrak. Have you seen those articles about how the U would need to spend tens of millions to get its' infrastructure up to date? That's a fairly common status in this nation for things to be dozens of years old. You don't need this Amtrak train crash to make a "narrative" about infrastructure needs, you just need to look at the data on the matter, but it's a dry subject material so few people end up caring.

It wasn't a trillion dollars thrown to infrastructure, the stimulus was only 700 billion, only 105 billion of which was infrastructure, 48 billion of that 105 billion went to transportation infrastructure, 1.3 billion of that 48 billion went to Amtrak."

1.3 billion wasn't enough? Why don't you and other Leftists write them a check for the additional funding you believe they need.

Nice that you dutifully ignore the fact that this accident had nothing to do with infrastructure, but rather excessive speeds by the engineer though a turn. But that doesn't fit the narrative does it?

Excessive Speed Probed in Amtrak Train Crash in Philadelphia

By Ted Mann, Andrew Tangel and Kris Maher

    Updated May 13, 2015 1:34 p.m. ET

PHILADELPHIA—An Amtrak train involved in a fatal crash here appears to have been traveling at more than 100 miles an hour as it entered a sharp curve where it derailed Tuesday night, killing at least seven people, according to two people with knowledge of the investigation.

The speed limit in that section of track drops to 50 miles per hour, according to the Federal Railroad Administration.

    ====

Okay Libs...so how does an engineer speeding through a curve tie in with Republicans cutting funding to Amtrak? This accident has nothing to do with infrastructure; It has to do with a train going to fast to take a curve.

Once again, we're witnessing the Socialist Democrat Party living by their motto of "Never Let a Crisis Go to Waste."

You Leftists are so utterly predictable.

Leftists everywhere are screaming about how this is Republican's fault, that if we spent more on infrastructure this never would have happened.

Funny, I remember the so-called "Stimulus" package, where liberals forced us to throw a trillion dollars at infrastructure. Allegedly (in reality, it turned into a democrat slush fund). Surely a trillion bucks is enough to fix a train?

Besides, the train was going too fast and that is why it derailed, not because it was on outdated rails.
