…and all those republicans who vote as one organism, and act as though building something for Canada is the most important legislation since the patriot act. The oil passes through America, not to America, do we get a discount on the oil that comes thru? Nope, world market. Of course campaign funds can now come from anywhere in the world thru super pacs, so your representatives are being well paid to represent, well someone who can afford their representation... in Canada.

Article quote: "The bill has fallen victim to Senate gridlock in the recent past, but Sen. Mary Landrieu, with her political career at stake, launched an effort last week to find enough Democratic converts for passage." why is Sen. Landrieu pushing NOW to get the Keystone pipeline bill passed? I mean, the Senate could have voted on this bill any time over the previous 2 years. Let me say that again: 2 years. A whopping 730 days.

Answer: because she wants to look as good as possible before her December run-off election to save her Senate seat.

Same for the other 6 Democrat senators who are now suddenly "for" the bill.
