this was all Madison Bumgarner - amazing performance. Pitching again after finishing a complete game just two days prior is un-heard of. Amazing athlete! Having pitched college ball myself I can appreicate how HUGE this is for Bumgarner to do what he did. You normally need at least 5 days to recover from a full game and he did it in 2. The Giants are simply a well coached and fundamentally sound team. Fun world series to watch.

I watched about 5 minutes total of the seven game series and I learned that i was more interested in watching soccer than baseball.

Madison Bumgarner won that World Series, pretty much single-handedly. Many of his teammates did not play particularly well in this series, which happens, but Bumgarner carried the whole team on his shoulders.

To win 3 games as a pitcher in the Series, putting in a full game shutout performance on Sunday, and then close out the last 5 innings on Wednesday (again a shutout performance) will not be done again anytime soon, maybe forever.

You have to go back over 100 years to find a comparable performance. That was baseball history we saw.
