    No slippery slope at all. No one has ever proposed a sinner can't marry due to the fact they are a sinner.

    So, where are the slippery-slope arguments from my fellow Deseret News readers? If the Church allows one kind of sinner to marry, where does this end?

    Will we someday see the Roman Catholic Church joining Mainline Protestant denominations in the sanctification of same-sex marriages? If not, why not? Can Pope Francis somehow be the catalyst that brings his Church into alignment with Christ's message and mission to recognize That of God in every person?
