    I think her jokes were a way to deal with the hurt she had inside her. Better to laugh than cry. Laughing with her showed compassion for her. And THAT says a lot that's good about you.

    We're all complex people. I laughed at her jokes, even though I knew that her jokes really hurt others. Maybe that says more about me than it says about her.

    The night before the procedure she said

    "I could go at any moment. I could lay here and go over... and it would be in the papers and you all could look at each other and say I was there the night Joan Rivers passed."

    Joan rivers dies at 81, the plastic surgery on her face was 31.

    Wait too soon to make jokes about her death? I think that is what she would have wanted.

    Joan you were unique and will be missed.
