so sorry about what John Hinkley Jr did to Mr Brady. Tragic indeed. As far as
the gun ban agenda from Mr and Mrs Brady - that was terribly misguided and sort
of like someone trying to ban all alcohol after a drunk driving accident. There
is responsible drinking just as there is responsible gun ownership. Responsible
gun owners (the vast majority) don't kill people it is just the criminals
or the insane. Laws should be set such that neither criminals or insane people
ever get their hands on a weapon of any kind which of course is impossible. One
only need open his browser and find the step by step of how to build a road side
bomb which is more than capable of killing one or more innocents. The bottom
line here is that evil exists in the world and always will no matter what we do.
How to protect yourself and family against evil? Do you depend on the police to
arrive on the scene an hour after the murders have occured and place the victims
in body bags OR do you protect yourself and your family with the help of Mr
Smith and Wesson?
I don't agree with their gun control stand, but I really admire both of
them and the fact that Sarah hung in there is a tribune to a wonderful woman.
The world lost a good man.
Once I was in attendance at a fabulous Washington evening where there were lots
of high powered people in attendance. I was standing by the side and James
Brady came by in his wheel chair. He looked up and said a really cheery
"hi" to me. He was really friendly. It made me so sad to see him in
his wheel chair, but I appreciated his friendliness. He really moved forward
with his life and did everything he could to make the most of his life. I
really admire him.
