I've lived along the border for twenty five years, and personally know many illegal children.

Amazing how you, from SLC, know more about them then I do.

The State Department issued those warnings before they were forced to admit the children came here for amnesty. The last thing we should do is allow the children to stay here. Why would we want to separate them from their parents back home, and what about the 290,000 non children Obama has let stay, and even helped relocate them? And what about the millions of children that will come here in the next 5 years? Next year we are expecting 150,000.

Reagan gave one amnesty, Clinton gave six amnesties, including over one million people from Central America. After seven amnesties, and 12 million here illegally, have we learned our lesson yet?

Someone needs to grow up here.
Our nation cannot continue allowing people to self-select. ONE THIRD of our foreign-born are here illegally. And the politicians don't seem to care just as long as their pandering buys votes.

There are some folks out there who seem to believe we should fashion our immigration policy on poetry. If you are tired, poor, and want freedom that's all it takes. Come to our country and we will take care of you.

Yes, some folks need to grow up. Then again, innocence is good. Have you heard about my investment program? I promise you 4% a month...

Ronald Reagan would Amnesty these children… just like the 3 million "undocumented workers" he did before.

From the U.S Department of State regarding travel to El Salvador and Honduras: "The Department of State continues to warn U.S. citizens that crime and violence levels in El Salvador remain critically high. " and "The Department of State continues to warn U.S. citizens that the level of crime and violence in Honduras remains critically high."
Seeing as the United States provided military support to the corrupt (U.S. installed) Governments of El Salvador and Honduras, which those governments turned on their own people; slaughtering tens of thousands - and because it is the U.S.A.'s, failed, war on drugs that has heightened drug cartels presence in these countries bringing terror and police corruption. Add on top of that, extreme poverty. Yes, these kids are refugees from terrible violence over the last 30 years. Yes, it is our responsibility to take care of these kids… but then again, that would mean American Politicians would have to take responsibility for the terrible decisions that they've made over the past 30 years. Sorry kids, we've got a re-election to worry about. You'd think a so called "Christian Nation" would behave differently.

The two great lies in this debate are the 2008 law. It allows the return of the children immediately under exceptional circumstances.

The other is that they are fleeing violence, when the Obama administration admitted they were here for the amnesty. And Obama is giving it to them, assuring a steady stream of parents accompanying their children here. According to PEW, two thirds of the children are coming with a parent and guardian. (they get amnesty also under Obamas refusal to deport).

The Obama Democrats need to stop using violence as the excuse, we can read the newspapers and find out the truth.

I'm sure that it's all a conspiracy of children. Small, street-smart people, hiding behind their youth and poverty, using all the resources they have, to infiltrate our country and rob us all of our "free goodies." Wait until they hear about Halloween! This year, turn off your porch lights, lock your doors and stay inside. Let's show these soon-to-be adults the determination of of our nation by eating all of our goodies ourselves. This campaign should be easily accomplished--like taking candy from a baby.

    @ Moderate:

I keep hearing similar accusations as to the one you just made. But you, like the others, never offer any evidence whatsoever for those accusations. And until credible evidence is given, its nothing but political hearsay. And at this point, that's all we can or should treat it as... especially considering Obama's strong leanings toward open amnesty for these probable would-be democrats. The left is politically motivated to accept those types of rumors without proof.

If they truly warrant refugee status, they should present whatever evidence they have to the American Embassy in their home countries. If they lack credible evidence, then their next most likely move would be to crash our borders.

They came for the amnesty Obama's DACA waiver promised. And if we don't stop it now, many more will come. The months of July and August are slow because of the heat. It's not because it's stopping.

See the June 20th edition of this paper, for "Biden flies to Central America amid migrant crisis"

"After weeks of insistence that criminal violence was responsible for the surge of Central American migrants, the U.S. has begun a regional public-relations campaign to fight the widespread belief in Central America that children and families will be allowed to stay in the U.S. if they are caught by the Border Patrol.

That belief has been fueled both by migrant smugglers seeking more clients, and by calls home from children and families who have been released by the thousands in recent years, with notices to appear in immigration court, because there are no facilities to hold them."

Yes worf, these children face violence and being abducted into child prostitution rings. "Free goodies?" Grow up.

"worf" FREE goodies. With the emphasis on FREE.

It costs them 5-10k to pay the coyotes to get here - so they......somehow manage to come up with that amount.

Once they're here - they are "home free". Free food, transportation, medical, etc.

IF the violence was so bad - the Mormon church would be pulling out their missionaries and the government would be closing embassies.

Are these children fleeing violence, or coming for free goodies?
