Have leaders of Israel and Palestine stand on their heads, turn around 10 times, quit fighting, promise to love and support each other, and put it all in writing.....
It does not matter what they say or do, they will fight each other until there is not one human being left standing, and do this until the end of time, as we know it.

Almost all of the articles on the situation in Gaza, and almost all of the world's leaders seem to be under the illusion that a cease-fire will end the bloodshed. A cease-fire will NOT end the bloodshed; it will only postpone the bloodshed until such time that Hamas feels strong enough to start murdering Israelis again because that is their goal. They will never give up their goal by agreeing to a cease-fire. According to Islamic law, Moslems must never conclude a peace treaty with non-Moslems. They are to conclude only a cease-fire for the purpose of regrouping and building their strength in order to carry on the jihad at a later date.

The UN will not succeed in "humanitarian efforts" to evacuate the so-called "Palestinians." It cannot succeed because the "Palestinians" on the urging of Hamas and after being warned by Israel -which incidentally unlike Hamas actually gives fair warning that an attack it coming against a specific building- to evacuate instead gather at the place apparently seeking to receive their eternal reward. This is the same thing as using human shields which is a war crime. Israel has the right to hit the targets that are sending rockets into Israel. That's just a fact of life. Hamas seems to have no regard for life either Israeli or Palestinian.

"Police said Israeli tanks fired shells on densely populated areas south of Gaza City."

That's because Hamas launches rocket and mortar attacks from those areas. Under international law, if a party uses presumptively protected sites, such as schools, hospitals and civilian homes to launch rockets, artillery or for other military purposes, those sites become legitimate targets and the party shooting from them bears the responsibility for any damage or casualties when the other party shoots back. The same goes for using those sites to store rockets and munitions or placing civilians as human shields.

What do you think our response would be if Cuba got tired of the US embargo we've had for half a century and started lobbing missiles at Miami, especially if they kept it up for years on end with their launchers located in schools, hospitals and population centers? Our response would be far more devastating than anything Israel has done in Gaza. Being an "underdog" doesn't give a smaller country carte blanche to attack with impunity.

I think the US is obligated to step up and aid the Israeli's with some weapons and arms aid according to the UN treaty that gave all of Israel and Jewish people this land and the Gaza territory for a united nation for the preservation and lives of Jewish people.

The Palestinians are collaborating with the Hamas in this war in an effort to annihilate the Jewish people as there christian enemies. The nation of Israel has been more than tolerant and patient with these Palestinian people and Hamas harassing and killing Jewish people and bombing them continuously in time of peace.

There is no option of peace talks or truce or cease fire, the Israeli have no choice but an unconditional surrender by the Palestinians and Hamas who are committing crimes against humanity by putting the children and women and civilians in front of their guns.

The USA is obligated to help and arm the Israel nation as the treaty declares.
