Women are humans the same as men, so why should there be a difference in leadership roles or, social standing and participation. It is mans chauvinism and women's submission that holds women back. It has nothing to do with any god. It is mans own ignorance.

If it doesn't make a difference then it shouldn't be a problem for a woman to lead. :)

"If God is the head, what difference does it make if it's man or woman to lead?"

Never ever ever nurse hurt feelings over irrelavant matters. It causes problems when you do.

If women rose up and became equals with their male counterparts in, say, Muslim culture, think of the changes that we would enjoy. Men have long tried to dominate women under the name of religion. I'll bet there would be some changes if women dominated some of our current worldwide cultures.

It's the philosophies, and social pressures of liberals.

"I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea: That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also."
    (Romans 16: 1-2)

In the King James Bible, Paul calls Phebe (Saint Phoebe in Catholicism) “a servant of the church.” Numerous other translations say ‘deacon' rather than servant. The original Greek says diakonos (deacon). We don’t know if Paul himself appointed her to that role but she was clearly the leader of the church in Cenchrea and Paul calls on the saints there to assist her in all things.

And in a decade they will wonder why there was any fuss at all.

Did God supply a revelation to the Church of England? Or did the Church of England simply use the brains that God has already given us all to use?

The Church of England has clearly received revelation from God as God is not a respecter of persons and would not discriminate against women! I hope all religions will pray to God and realize that women are top religious leaders too and not just baby makers!
