Screwdriver, one of the few times I agree with you.

And yes! Let the Afghans take care of their military training.

We have supplied eighty percent of the worlds military weapons.

We don't need any presence in Europe. Europe can defend themselves.

Until I see and French battalion defending the US border I think I'm justified. We spend 5 times as much as the rest of the world combined on national military expenditures which is completely insane.

    UT Brit,

You are the one who said I supported more military presence in these areas just weeks ago.

Either myself or Brio, or both of us.

Well, can you back up your made up claims?

    Apparently not.

    Game. Set. Match

    UT Brit,

Are you saying you completely made up your comment of the same people on these boards changing their minds?

Yep, we called you out and your proof?

    Just as we expected

Whatever credibility you had when you made those claims is gone when you cant back up something you were so adamant was true.

    Speaks volumes

    @ UT Brit:

You have provided no proof whatsoever regarding your negative contentions. I read these comment sections regularly and have not noticed any specific commenters changing their minds and opinions regarding Obama adminstration actions. Most of those comments have been quite consistent with how they feel, and with their minds made up long ago... based upon the actions taking place in Washington DC.

Are there different people who are supporting and/or condemning Obama's actions? Obviously. Some will always support and others will usually condemn. It's how open political systems work. But don't make the mistake and erroneous assumption that the same people are doing both... unless you have some proof. So far you've provided none.

Your time would be better spent closer to home trying to fix the myriad of problems currently taking place and very evident in British politics.

How about boosting military presence along the border?

We may have pushed Russia into this conflict.

We need to stay out of it, Drill our own oil

    @Chris B

Meh, if there is one thing I have found reading your comments Chris, whatever Obama is doing you want the opposite of that. I have never read anything you have put that supports anything Obama has done. Are you saying you supported Obama a couple of months ago and agreed with his actions not to have a force build up in the area?

    UT Brit,

Please show us where either myself or Brio said we wanted to boost military presence in the area just a few weeks ago.

You're quite adamant this happened, so you will be able to back up your claims right?

    Simple task right?

Hopefully it doesn't overwhelm you or cause you not to reply(run away)

I don't think you comprehended my statement. People who were wanting to boost military presence in the area ("Obama is making us look weak before Putin") a few weeks ago are now saying its a terrible idea when Obama does just that.
Do you understand now or do you wish me to simplify it further? Its miraculous how people can change their opinions in such a short space of time.

    @ UT Brit:

I have a strong suspicion that there are varying opinions concerning all the political activities that take place there in Britain. So it shouldn't be a surprise to you that the same thing happens in the USA.

Some agree with certain political moves while others strongly disagree. That's how it is and has always been. There is never going to a time when people of any country all "make up their minds" in complete concurrence.

Please think things through more thoroughly before making such a naive comment.

Brilliant, just a few short weeks ago people on this site were criticising Obama for being weak against Putin. He boosts the military presence in the area (which I think is a stupid move) and we have calls of not being the world police and saying the military costs too much.

Will you guys please make up your minds?

It's ironic that right after releasing 5 of the highest ranking Taliban terrorists in captivity (in exchange for a U.S.military traitor), Obama announces these plans to bolster our military presence in areas outside of the US, at a cost of an additional billion dollars which we do not have.

This action just adds that much more to our already record (and alarmingly high) federal deficit.

Very conflicting actions on the part of the President.

Barack - we don't need to be the police in every country.

Keep our troops and our money home!
