This general threw Obama 3 strikes you're out and put Obama on the defensive with no one to blame now but himself.

Being a general and commanding troops in war and facing death I doubt very much that he could not handle a few threats and wailing politicians trying to blame him. The general knows what the VA problems are, he was just hog tied to prevent him from making noise against political fraud by ALEC and politicians seeking power. I'm sure ALEC managed to get many suppliers and servicing contractors no bid high cost contracts to drain money from the VA struggling to help our soldiers.

The money was given to the VA budget but ALEC and its lobbyist influence with politicians was embezzling the money from the VA by order of congressional laws letting contractors embezzle money from the VA budget.

Congressional laws giving no bid contract for embezzling is out of the VA's control. The general fooled them, now maybe the misappropriation of VA funds to illegal contractors by congressmen will be exposed.

Funding is not necessarily the issue here, honesty is. VA doctors see very few patients a day when compared to the average doctor so the thing to do is to make the VA much more efficient. Maybe we should get rid of all the doctors and just give them an insurance card and let them go where they want. The next best choice is to have the vets go to base facilities.
This whole mess is not a money issue a management issue, hire a better manager.

Sen Bernie Sanders (I-VT) "If you think it's too expensive to take care of veterans, then don't send them off to war."

I don't see the Republicans who pounded the war drums pounding the drums to adequately fund and staff the VA. Cuts always include veteran's healthcare, never high-dollar weapons systems.

Forcing this guy out will not fix the problem. Forcing congress to fund care will fix the problem.
