Really interesting point you make about how Obama could put the country back to work with infrastructure repair and rebuilding. Sounds reasonable. Also sounds exactly like what Mr. Obama said he was going to do with that 800 billion stimulus package he got from the Democrat controlled Congress back in 2009. And instead of the job creating/rebuilding happening, a couple of years later we get from Obama, "there were not as many shovel ready jobs out there as we thought there would be". Now, my main question is, what happened to all that stimulus money? And that was back in the day when our national debt was "only" around 11 trillion dollars. We've (he has anyway) spent trillions more since then, and you are suggesting more money borrowed for another stimilus to create jobs and rebuild the infrastructure. Do I need to go on?

Do you think Obama's excuse will ever be exposed?
He always tells us during the debt ceiling debates that these are obligations the United States has already made.
Then he proceeds to continue to spend at the old pace, insuring the need for another debt ceiling increase.
Needless to say, that pattern will only result in the need for additional increases.
    Not too bright, huh?

President Obama should say to the heck with the self-serving congress, and by executive power but the nation to work repairing our infrastructure ( bridges, highways, airports, schools, etc. .) Now interest rates are low for government borrowing and the nations work force needs employment. The improvements and progress will pay for itself in time and it is a better investment in our children's future than balancing the budget at this time.

And of course if any Republican tries to do anything about the debt, he/she becomes the number one target of Democrats and the media on how heartless, racist, cruel, irresponsible to the children and poor, denying the medical care to millions, and overall horrible a person he/she is. What a racket the Democrats have arranged for themselves. Having their cake and eating it too. Wonder how long it can last? The Democrats seem to think it can go on this way forever, or if it does collapse, they feel they can lay the blame on the Republicans for it.

Just think! If I had unlimited spending on my credit card,-- I could use it to make my payments, than continue my spending.

When the next bill comes, I borrow more of the card, and make another payment, than keep spending.

My card could have a balance of a million, but it doesn't matter as long I use it to make payments.

Our national debt equals $100,000 for every second of six years.

Is this why Obama signed the debt ceiling measure into law?

What happens if this country gets foreclosed on, or can we keep making payments of the card? I don't know the answer!

Obama is well on his way to increasing the national debt to $20- $25 trillion before he leaves office. As of today, our GDP is about $16 trillion and todays national debt is about $17.3 trillion. Imagine our economic future!

Is there a spending ceiling for a president. After a Hawaiian vacation less than two month ago, Barry is vacationing on a golf course in California, while Michelle heads to Vail Colorado on our dime.

There is a commander, and spouse inequality income gap which requires a ceiling, because we the people are forking the bill.

The blue and black designer dress that first lady Michelle Obama wore to Tuesday’s state dinner for the French president reportedly cost between $10,000 and $12,000, according to news media, which is more than the median annual household income worldwide of $9,733, and greater than the median income for households in at least 87 countries, according to data from Gallup.

How can we have equality if our leaders don't set an example?
