Norovirus is so fast moving and unstoppable, if I were one of the passengers I'd just be glad to be getting off and headed for home. Some things, like highly contagious illnesses, are just a part of life. After all, most people recover and can resume their lives. We all have to have some expensive unpleasant events in life that are really the fault of no one, and we should be grateful we can move on.

Only 50% off for a future cruise? It's like saying we'll split the cost of your travel for falling so sick on our voyage cruise - because you caught the bug after boarding, not before. We facilitated your catching the "norovirus." And whether you like it or not, you are responsible for your plight for at least 50% of the cost. I really doubt any of those passengers who fell ill is even going to want to do business with Royal Caribbean Cruise Line after this. Their vacations were ruined; their safety put at risk. Offering them 50% off is like adding insult to injury. For what their customers have gone through, it would be a courtesy to fully reimburse them; and pay for their medical costs. I see a major lawsuit in the cruise line's future as it stands for compensatory damages. Not enough is being done to address the passengers loss of enjoyment and relaxation, or inconvenience. They got far more than they bargained for! Big time. :(
