For everyone that brings up the declining numbers at the end of GWB term, please consider who was controlling the house and the senate. When the economy boomed during Clinton's terms, you will see that the R's had control and thus we saw growth even into the first term of GWB. Then there was the change...we see the economy collapse. Now, this isn't to say that is is all their fault. As mentioned in previous comments, there is blame to be shared. But to push all of this blame onto the R's is absurd. As of late, we have seen a stagnant economy-on the edge if you will-one reason being the split in the house and the senate.

The only person who could believe this is a good economy is someone born yesterday. Or at least within the last 6 years.

700,000 jobs a month. For how many months? Right now it could be said that Obama has cost this country upwards of 90 million jobs, as that is the number recently released of people either not working or having given up looking.

Well, we know how Obama feels about checks and balances.
I read an interesting article the other day. They suggested tongue-in-cheek that the Fed simply loan every American $10 million at zero interest with no repayment schedule.
The markets are driven by bad data on inflation and unemployment. GIGO.

bungalow. I know you don't like facts but the fact is the recession was created by the government meddling in the housing market. It began with Slick Willy's and good ole boy Barney Frank's easy housing credit loans via Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac, government sponsored banks giving housing loans to people who had no intention or ability to service their loans. Because after all we were told, everyone deserves a decent home, even if they couldn't afford one. The demand for housing exploded as a result as did the price of homes. The bubble burst when millions of toxic loans came back to the banks which were then bailed out with taxpayer money! There never would have been a collapse if the federal government had not been meddling with the housing and banking markets!

We must be inbetween crises, Obama is talking jobs.

If only his 5 years of concern about jobs actually meant something more than just a talking point to use when his administration isn't covering up for something or telling us that we are all going to die without his help.

Nice and true comparison. Obama wants to be in charge of everything, including the continued killing of jobs, the military, and the nations health. I feel sorry for my grandchildren, many of whom voted for him. Now many of them are already sorry they made this bad choice for themselves.

over 5 million people in the past two three had their health care cancelled due to Obamacare. Most have either not been able to sign up for new coverage via the state exchanges or the state exchange insurance is 2-3 times what they were paying before so they are locked out....no insurance to enter 2014. In the fall of 2014 Obamacare will cause the cancellation of corporate health care policies ...by the tens of millions ...and the same situation will exist with the state exchanges. Many millions who were paying $400 a month are now having to find $800 to $1200 a month for insurance and they don't get to keep their old doctor. Most of these people do NOT get any government help either. Many millions have lost their 40 hour per week job and are forced to a 27 hr per week job all due to Obamacare. My wife was one of these. So - your "great" economy is a myth in your liberal mind. By the way the unemployment rate drop was due completely to people DROPPING out of the work force - giving up looking for work.

some conservatives just don't get it.
barry is going to hire millions of community organizers to do what he did, staple posters to telephone poles advertising yomamacare. he also has millions of jobs that are shovel ready for all the people that have lost their jobs due to yomamacare. he is also promising millions of jobs to fill the green industry positions that taxpayers funded and lost billions of dollars on and went out of business. he also
plans on creating millions of jobs with replacing cars and trucks with people fuel positions, bikes, carts and hand pulled wagons. He ceases to amaze me that repubs and conservatives don't appreciate barry and all of his job creating successes. thank goodness we did not put someone in the WH with real experience in business, economy and creating real jobs. so glad we were smart enough to elect barry.

jobs agenda? Can someone please clarify at least how Barack intends on creating new jobs? We have Obamacare forcing companies to actually cut back their work force and somehow this translates to new jobs??? How is that exactly? Aside from government jobs..where is the private sector being helped by Barack to create jobs? It seems like the exact opposite is happening. People aren't stupid and they know there is no hiring going on...outside of fast food and the IRS I guess. People in this country are starving for REAL jobs...those that pay well (50k to 100K) per year but what the get instead is hot air from politicians. We have jobs like the Keystone Pipeline (pipe-fitters, welders, construction, trucking,.....) that all pay well and COULD be hiring thousands of people but Barack says NO!! We have other public land energy projects still on hold due to government regulations. All this tired and predictable talk from about his jobs agenda is as old as stale bread and people want REAL ACTIONS not political speak.

92 million Americans have given up trying to find a job and have dropped out of the job market, the most in US history. Retail sales rose just 0.2 percent last month, the Commerce Department said Tuesday. Folks, we are just two tenths of one percent away from a recession! Gas prices are increasing and Obamacare looms with all its hidden taxes, higher premiums, higher co-pays and higher deductibles for millions of Americans. Obama thinks the government is the solution? If only we had elected Mitt Romney!

barry, just use executive order to give everyone a job that pays all americans the same. job done. see how easy it is when you disregard the constitution.
