Frankly, outside of the Rose Bowl, it was a mediocre Bowl line up for the PAC-12.

Admittedly, with the playoff starting next year, the bowl season will be even more meaningless than it is now, but the PAC-12 bowl affiliations are pretty lame. Three games where the opponent is required to come from the Mt West; and two games where the opponent is required to come from the ACC.

The higher tier bowls include two match ups with the Big 12 and of course the Rose Bowl. But only one of those games included a Top 25 opponent.

Unfortunately, the PAC-12 won only one of those three games.

Surprisingly, the PAC-12 only played two ranked opponents in their 9 bowl games and won only one of those (Fresno St.). It's not a great bowl season when Utah State had as many bowl wins over ranked opponents as did the entire conference.

In the last year of the BCS, the PAC-12 didn't beat a single ranked BCS school in a bowl game. Improvement is needed in both bowl affiliations and performance.

I would like to congratulate Texas Tech for thoroughly thumping a so called prestigious Pac team in ASU. The gap between the Big 12 and Pac is humongous just like between the Utes and a bowl game LOL

Ya, and Alabama wasn't that good in 2008 either huh?

Isn't it funny that your coach who talks of winning national titles has NEVER beaten an end of season top 10 team and he has NEVER beaten a single BCS bowl participant?

I'll be ready to remind you once again you are wrong when Stanford finishes 8-9 in the country.

    Go Utes
    Go Pac 12!

stanford will not finish in the top 10, they are not a top 10 team. utah actually exposed them and we should thank them for that. When you lose to a team as bad as utah you are definately not top 10 material.

Yes, it did work out that way. Stanford very much will be an end of season top 10 team.

So yes, 3 wins against end of season top 10 teams for Kyle.

2 wins against BCS bowl participants for Kyle

    0 of either for Bronco.

The PAC 10+2 finished 6&3 in their bowl games. No PAC 10+2 teams in the national championship game though. I would think the 2nd best conference in the land could squeeze into the National Championship game. Maybe it is just an off year. .666 winning percentage in bowls is pretty good, I wonder how many more years it will be before the +2 make it in. In order I bet California makes it first, then Colorado, and then Utah. Like good old Chris B says, "Mark It Down"

"utah will have 3 wins over end of season top 10 ranked teams"

I "marked it down" but it didn't quite work out that way did it christina? "Top 10 teams" do not lose 3 games, one of which was to an extremely bad team with a losing record and no bowl appearance. lol

I would like to congratulate the prestigious Pac 12 and all 12 prestigious teams in that conference for a great year. We did well this year, being without question a top 2 conference in the country.

Our record against the WAC2.0(mwc) and quasi was byu was 14-1, which just goes to show

    1. The gap is huge between the Pac 12 and the Wac and wac-like byu

    2. The Pac 12 has correctly chosen which teams to include and which teams to deny entrance

you also forgot to mention that same Stanford team lost to the .2 team as well. I personally don't think Stanford was all that. I watched the game last night, they aren't some juggernaut smashed mouth team they were hyped up to be. If so you would get 1 yard in Jumbo formation when the mighty Rose Bowl hangs in the balance and you don't go 4 and out from the 2 yd line at Utah.

Ok so if you're going to play that card, let's hear your reasoning for ASU getting thumped by a non ranked opponent with a freshman QB.

The PAC is clearly inferior to independence and the WAC.

Wait, so Stanford loses a close game to a one loss opponent, and suddenly the PAC 12 isn't so great? Man, that must mean losing to a couple of middle to lower end conference members this year makes the Y even worse than we thought. LOL! Sounds like some of you are still stinging from watching KVN looking like a low round draft pick by Sankey.

So what would the Y's tag line be?

"Independence, where teams who no one wants, go to hope" ? Too funny!

I'm just glad to see many of you have finally matured enough to call it the PAC 12 not 10.2, I guess when you lose to the ".2" 4 straight, it kinda makes it seem silly doesn't it?

Kudo's to Michigan State they played lights out smashed mouth football over a talented Stanford team. The two best bowl games so far are Johnny Manziel's teams victory over Duke and MSU victory over Stanford. Michigan State smashed Ohio State and by beating Stanford in the Rosebowl they should be considered the #2 team. Maybe the Pac 12 isn't as good as the hype and media wants us to believe.

But I thought the Pac 12 was the Conference of Champions?
