    The sooner the better.

    That means they will finally;
    slow down,
    obey the speed limits,
    won't try to beat the red lights,
    will come to a complete stop,
    won't tail gate,
    won't cut you off,
    and will actually USE the turn signals!

    Just like with guns and sharp objects,
    Car don't kill people, people kill people.

    -- "good, then my car can buy its own liability insurance, because now i am just a passenger" --

    When we have driverless cars, who will back-seat drivers argue with?

    Won't we miss seeing people behind the wheel yakking on the phone, texting, reading newspapers or maps, putting on makeup, spilling their cappuccinos on the brand-new Armani they wore to close the deal or impress the jury, or stuffing their faces with fast food and spilling sauce all over themselves?

    Come to think of it, I see cars on the street now that I could swear are "driverless."

    They can't build a computer or smartphone that won't crash, how long until this is dependable? Can't wait for the first crash on my car's navigational computer. Will the car come screeching to a halt in traffic?
