    @ Bungalow:

Every single budgetary year under Obama has had a higher federal deficit than Bush's largest (worst) deficit. While still a senator, Obama harshly criticized Bush for having a half trillion dollar deficit (Bush's highest)... saying that it was utterly immoral to pass on such a unbelievably large deficit to our children.
Then, since becomeing president, Obama's federal deficits have averaged over twice as much as Bush's highest. That is hypocrisy to the Nth degree.

2 weeks ago, an ABC reporter randomly asked a dozen Obama voters on the street to name just one domestic issue or policy that Obama has accomplished since taking office. It was humorous to watch many of them stutter, but not be able to name one... not even a single positive accomplishment could any of them name. Besides being somewhat humorous, it was also very sad.

Unless something unforeseen happens during the last few years of Obama's presidency, then the legacy he will leave will not be very positive at all. In fact, it will be downright dismal! A decade from now, few people will ever admit voting for him.

Things look different? From an Ivy League graduate?

What classification for benefits, did Obama have for college expenses? What were his grades?

I sent a response but for some reason DN spiked it. They do that sometimes, and not because of foul language or insults. Sometimes I think the readers who clear these posts don't like what they read and don't allow it to get through. Anyway, my response to you was largely a criticism of Bush and his war policies. Even though I don't like Obama, it doesn't mean I liked Bushs' useless wars either. I'll be interested to see if this one gets through, as others I have posted today have.

    BO killed OBL?

nope. it was a navy seal team, which BO exposed trying to grab political points, to their mortal danger.

we found OBL using bush's methods. BO knew where OBL was for 6 months before he mustered the courage to order him taken out, then he left our main source in verifying it was OBL out to dry. The Pakistani doctor is now sitting in a cell for 33 years because even though the raid on OBL was successful, BO bungled just about everything else associated with it.

hypocrisy defending BO knows no bounds.

there was NO surplus under clinton. never was. please stop repeating the lie. gross federal debt increased each year under slick. the budget came closest to being in balance when slick had a repub congress. bush never ran an $11 trillion deficit. accumulated debt for ALL TIME reached that level, but no single deficit. BO's deficits were worst when he had a dem congress and BO's deficits have been worse than anything bush ever dreamed of. BO ran up more debt in 3-1/2 years than bush did in 8! that's the truth liberals want to distract you from. Hypocrisy indeed!

Just waiting for someone to say "IT'S BUSH'S FAULT!!" Thanks for not disappointing us.

as for the war - you mean the one the majority of dems authorized? is that to which you refer?

Hey, SC - What "experience" was it that caused GWB to join in with Cheney & Co. in promoting a hugely wasteful and unnecessary war against a country that had no connection to anyone who had attacked US? Was it the experience of not finding oil or the experience of being front man for a baseball team? Perhaps it was the experience of signing death warrants put in front of him by his sidekick, Mr. Gonzales, the Texas AG.

Don't worry, it looks like Obama is now getting ready for his war in the Mid-East. Every President since Carter has had to engage in military action there. So now the real world has come to the white house. This is an example of why Ogama was, is, and always will be unqualified for the job do to lack of real world experience. No putting that toothpaste back in the tube.

I thought the buck stops at the President's door. If a CEO of a major corporation had the number of scandals he's had under his watch, he'd be doing jail time. We should hold our President to a higher standard whether a Republican or a Democrat and if they fail we should fire them not reelect them.

Worf served you up a nice soft one up in the strike zone and you whiffed!

Should be an easy question, right? "...list some beneficial contributions from the Obama presidency."

Instead, you dodge the question and proceed with the typical liberal name calling and finger pointing right out of MSNBC scripts.

Give me 30 minutes, even I could probably come up with something that Obama has done that can be construed as beneficial...., well,... OK, give me 24 hrs, ...maybe.

What Obama said: "You know....things sure are different than what I thought before I was elected."

What Obama meant: "Dang! Maybe I shouldn't have been so hard on Bush. This job is a lot tougher than what I thought...."

You can see where this will go. All indications are the parade is moving in favor of a Syria strike. Obama will get out in front of that, and then feel he has offended Russia. Eventually he will pull out U.S. nuclear warheads from Europe. When that happens, get your iodine supply and pray.

    Mr. Worf,
President Obama's accomplishments are many, and are very easily located on the Internet.
Sadly for Republicans(your affiliation?), all that can be seen for your political party at this point in time, is an obstructionist group being led by Bible Belt religious extremists. These politicians are unable to embrace a diverse country who, historically, looks out for it's poor and middle class citizens.
Rational, moderate Republicans who are willing to work with Dems and Independent Moderates have expressed their fear in working with those who are willing to put the country first. Tea Party extremists have threatened those who would want to compromise.
This should be your concern at this point in time.

He should have started a couple wars by now, maybe sold arms to our enemies using money earned by selling drugs to Americans, then perhaps he too can be a conservative leader.

The short memories of radio junkies is humorous.

By the way warhawks who have never served...Iran and Syria are not part of the United States, Israel is an instigator not one of our allies.

    @ no fit in SG:

You are partly right. Obama does rule the presidential golf and vacation world. He just thinks he rules the rest of the world.
And the only reason his beneficial contributions are ignored are because they are so hard to find.
And when bad things do happen in his administration, he is usually busy pleading ignorance of what was going on... trying really hard to wash his hands of all the dirty details.
And when we are all sleeping at night, he is busy making calls to (conspiring with) his cabinet as to which laws he can get away with ignoring and which ones he can get away with unilaterally changing to fit his agenda... all the while ignoring what the Constitution actually allows him to do.
And yes, that is right. Pretty much sums it up... except for maybe the totally out of control federal deficits he's created and that you forgot to mention. He busy kicking the can down the road on that one, too.

    @ sceptic:

Sorry to burst your liberal bubble about not having a local news outlet to blame this negative Obama report on. If you would check a little closer before making accusations, you would've noticed that this was an Associated Press (AP) report and picture.

It has nothing to do with the Deseret News and it's local reporting. It is a national press release.

what do you expect from zero experience? 5 years on the job training times ZERO experience is still ZERO.

Can we demand a refund of his paycheck since the country ended up much worse than he took office? btw how many trillions he added to the debt?

Yes, President Obama rules the world, makes all the decisions.
Only the bad things that have happened are his fault, though. Any beneficial contribution of Barack Obama is ignored.
Kings, despots, all who are ruling other countries throughout the world(including American states), play NO part in any decision making.
When we are all sleeping each night, President Obama is making phone calls throughout the world, telling each leader of each country(plus our Legislators in America), that he is they Boss, and only he makes the decisions, no matter what they might think is best for their country, or state.

The US is not respected or feared by the bad guys in the middle east since Barack took over and that is a fact. The aggression of Iran and the now other dictators such as Syria is evidence that these Islamic thugs have no fear of Barack Obama and feel like they can do what ever they want ...including mass killing of their own people ...and the US will do nothing and sadly they are correct. The US is a paper tiger feared by none especially Russia and China. It is Russia and China that are the big players now dominating and dictating events around the world. Recall the apology tour by Barack and the promise to close Gitmo so that terrorists would like us better. What a sad joke to have such a small little naive man in the White House - reminding us all of Jimmy Carter. Bottom line - liberalism doesn't work...not in economics and not in foreign policy.

Peace through strength - Ronald Reagan
