Patriot pointed out only one of the many lies told to sell Obamacare. You have no problem that BO and all the supporters lied? the end justifies the means? That's an old soviet axiom.

apparently you did not work for UPS. Yes, the change UPS is making is DIRECTLY related to Obamacare. They would not have made this change without Obamacare.

I would suspect from your prior comments that you voted for the party that gave us this train wreck. Why do you keep trying to sell something your own heros refused to give you?

djc. Did you not read the article? UPS is cancelling insurance coverage for employee's spouses, not telling them to get it from their spouses employers. How can you in good conscious defend this Obamacare train wreck?

@ patriot: Yeah - because the healthcare law specifically dictates to employers that they have to keep your spouse on their insurance.

Like dcj said, for years employers have had rules about who they would insure and under what conditions. And nothing in the ACA takes away the right your employer has always had to change the plans they offer.

Well if there are in fact more layoffs, and the total collapse of the economy as we know it, then the CEO of UPS won't be getting his $13 million compensation package any more. So I guess unemployment might go up by the number of servants he hires .

Every company I have worked for over the past 17 years had this same rule. If your spouse had insurance available through his or her work, he or she was required to get it there and not be on your policy. I guess it was the presidents fault 17 years ago, too.

Sometimes it is far far too convenient to blame the fall guy.

If only we had the single payer system we should have, you wouldn't have to worry about employers, or insurance.

This Obamacare nightmare has not even begun but we can certainly see a small hint of what will happen: Total collapse of the economy as we have known it over the past 50 years. How many employees have had hours cut for the employer to avoid the forced benefit requirements of the new law? Less household income = less spending = less production = more layoffs = increased demand for government benefits = higher taxes = less household income = = = =.
