one of the beauties about stoppage time is that there is flexibility as to when the ref can blow the game dead. Morales was faking an injury rolling around on the ground for about 30 seconds of the stoppage time so that would justify at least some extra time. the shove in the box by Opara to Borchers was bad sportsmanship but players have gotten away with much worse in way bigger leagues and even in the world cup. Many contact sports are difficult to referee, with soccer being more difficult than basketball, football, or baseball. the referee didn't head the ball in for KC and the referee didn't foolishly concede the corner kick so late in the game. Your two specific complaints here are pretty bogus so it seems to me like you're a little delusional as opposed to some hard core soccer aficianado

For me to continue watching American soccer matches, I must see better officiating. The league can make all the excuses it wants, but in the end the game should have been called at 5 minutes of stoppage time--not 6.5!!! That made it look like the officials had been bought off! What's more, they allowed two players from KC to shove SLC players inside the penalty box and get away with it, which should have been all the more reason to blow the whistle and end a good game with a tie. What kind of officiating will the league demand? These kind of conclusions need to be raised to the head officials and serve as basic lessons for training future officials. Either that, or soccer fans--like me--will quit watching this kind of hooliganism.
