Some Disney films need more than a G rating, and that's OK

    Oops, I misread that as saying that Raiders was made by Disney. Ignore my last comment. On rereading I think the reference was actually to The Black Cauldron. It was not a very good movie.

    I would agree that some movies do need to have the content in them that made them PG-13, but I think it's a minority.

    The problem with this argument is that Raiders of the Lost Ark was neither an animated film nor made by Disney. As of this year Disney owns the rights to the franchise since they bought Lucasfilm, but isn't really relevant to the argument.

    Disney-owned Touchstone makes movies that sometimes carry the "R" rating. But no one can make anyone else buy a ticket, so the studio takes on the risk. Is this somehow unfamiliar?
