There is more to an arena than the rent. I'm not sure what West Valley charged, but the ESA is a better location fit for the team as has been proven by the Blazes short stint out West. Also the marketing has been horrible this year for the Blaze, and face it, games are not as fun as they used to be. As a sponsor and STH this will be our last season unless there is another ownership change and ownership reduction. Too many owners as it sits and they all think they know it all, but as evident by poor marketing this season, they don't. The team has made some real poor choices, and it's very surprising considering at least some of the current owners backgrounds. Hopefully they can bring back those that helped them in 2012 and turn the team around, or offer the Garff's the chance to buy it back and run it how it should be.

I tend to disagree with the previous comment. I also get tired of the "lf Larry were alive comments".

I think the Miller Group is doing a good job with the Jazz, Bees, Race Track.

I also think that the Maverick Center seems like a much better fit the Blaze. I would think the rent would be cheaper. If not, then West Valley City is shooting themselves in the foot by overpricing the facility.

Something tells me that if Larry Miller were alive, this entire kerfuffle regarding getting kicked out without a formal civil eviction process wouldn't have occurred in the public eye like this.
