In the 50's I remember The American Indians, being in the fields and orchards. They spent their money in America. I cant see why, anyone would want anything to go south.

Legal, and illegal immigration provide cheap manual labor, and dependency on government.

Neither businesses, or government will give this up.

How many ways are there for the pols to spell SCAM. This is a scam in every way. The CBO based on the info they have says that it will reduce the defecit, improve the economy etc. etc. If my memory serves me that is exactly what they said about Obama Care. We all know how that worked out. What it will do is reduce wages, increase taxes as the illegals will still be able to get State Welfare. Again this is a scam. The pols want votes leaning heavy to the Dems and the Reps. are looking at campaign cash from business. Do you ever wonder why we are in the mess we are in. Look at the pols..

OK, so how's this supposed to work...?

Since the Senate bill will only stop 25 percent, 75 percent will keep coming across the border. And, since they will be eligible for green cards as soon as they step across the border, are border guards supposed to welcome them with open arms and hand out forms/ instructions for green cards?

I have written many letters to Senators Hatch and Lee, and Rep. Matheson on the current immigration bill. The only response I get is from Sen. Hatch, who says he hasn't made up his mind. This bill is bad, there is little good in it. The security of the border was mandated in Regan's 1986 Immigration give-a-way. Little has been accomplished, demonstrated by the sheer numbers that have illegally crossed the border and now live here. Visas lapse, and yet nothing is done. If the Feds did enforce lapsed visas, many of the 911 terrorists would have been deported. The bottom line is that ever since Regan's Immigration folly, the enforcement of the his revised law has, at best, been extremely poor.

I simply do not understand why the Immigration laws are not aggressively enforced, nor do I understand why Congress could ever consider providing illegal aliens with a path to citizenship.

Let's make illegal = illegal. Or else, let's just allow each citizen to commit one major crime and have it wiped clean. I would like to rob Fort Knox, get away with the money, and have complete forgiveness from the government. What is the difference? The ILLEGALS are getting away with CRIME.
