Uncle Rico must be one of the few remaining Roger Reid "fans" that was
"let down" in 1996 when Burgess told Reid he committed to Duke and not
the Y. That 1-26 meltdown still stings, eh?Oh, the ironies of life:
Burgess starting a coaching career at the U shortly after Reid gave up trying to
resurrect his at SUU.
Uncle Rico - thanks for your obscure and irrelevant post.
Question...Is the the same Burgess who air-balled from the free throw
line, not once but TWICE during a game?
UU32 - Well said
For clarity my above comment was not directed at Chris Burgess, it was for
Chris B - Please don't use the word "we" when referring to the Utes
-- most of us real Utah fans don't claim you as one of our own.
This won't turn the program around but it's a baby step in the right
Good to see Utah moving in the right direction. Burgess brings a lot of
experience and that experience should help Utah develop its inside players, Though I am a big Cougar fan, I also respect Utah, Utah State, and Weber
State and like to see all of the state schools perform well.LK has
done a solid job and it will be good to see the Utes become increasingly
competitive. They gave the Cougars all they could handle this past year.
Welcome home Chris!! Great to have you back!
This is great news indeed...welcome back to the U, Chris!!
StGtoSLC, thank you for clarifying his role with directly recruiting. His
recruiting will be indirect and very helpful, as you point out, with the
Wookie, as an undergrad assistant, Burgess won't be allowed to be directly
involved in recruiting. A very valuable benefit of the position, though, is that
he can basically fully participate in practice, which will help the bigs
immensely, as he's still very much in playing shape, just finishing his
career in Europe just a few weeks ago. Very cool addition to the staff!
Program moving in the right direction. We'll be back to where we belong
within 2 more years.
Great News....love with Coach K2 is doing at the U. Building this into a good
program once again. Having Chris will help in recruiting and development. This
is good for the program. Thank you Chris for your constant support.Go UTES!
