What does the illegal alien get for his $1000? Amnesty for the 75% who committed social security fraud, Amnesty for identity theft, amnesty from perjury when lying on i-9 forms, Amnesty from existing exclusion, deportation, and removal orders, amnesty for the employers who commit felonies from hiring a person here illegally, amnesty for employers for not withholding taxes, amnesty for employers who violated labor laws (wages), amnesty for employers who gave fake social security numbers to employees.

None of the money collected would go to make restitution for the serious harm done to innocent American citizens and legal residents, many of them children, whose SSNs are being used. Instead the money goes into a fund to help them work towards citizenship.

The bill is 27 times longer than constitution, 14 times longer than the Social Security Act of 1935. It admits 1.6 million more temporary workers than currently allowed. (last reported year, 2011 had 3.1 million visa workers). The next year it increases by 600,000.

4.7 million visas per year, and a million green cards. Can we afford 6 million people a year?
This bill is much worse than our present condition.

It's a waste of time. Obama will not enforce the new laws, just like he stopped enforcing the old ones.
